Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs
Product Description Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2013 is a rare and exceptional cuvée that reflects the unique characteristics of a vintage marked by a very late harvest. The year 2013 stood out with cool and rainy weather, resulting in a delayed harvest that only began at the end of September. This late ripening process gave rise to grapes with a rare balance of freshness and depth, producing a wine of great finesse and complexity. The blend is made exclusively from Grand and Premier Cru Chardonnay, with 70% sourced from the Côte des Blancs and 30% from the Montagne de Reims. With over 9 years of ageing on lees and a dosage of 5.5 g/L, this Champagne presents the ultimate expression of Ruinart’s commitment to craftsmanship and quality. The result is a cuvée with an extraordinary combination of freshness, depth, and a distinctive toasty character. The wine is vinified with meticulous care, following traditional techniques such as manual disgorgement and ageing under cork, a process that imparts a unique richness and subtlety to the wine. The late ripening of the grapes gives the wine its unmistakable structure and precision, while the chalky terroir of the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims provides a mineral backbone that enhances the wine’s complexity. Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2013 is a Champagne that balances elegance with boldness, and its unique character makes it a true standout in the world of luxury Champagne. Maker The House of Ruinart, founded in 1729, is one of the oldest and most prestigious Champagne houses, known for its uncompromising dedication to quality and craftsmanship. Pooley Chardonnay
Te Mata Elstone Chardonnay
Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate remains family owned, producing internationally recognized wines exclusively from its Hawke's Bay vineyards. The Estate's ownership varied frequently until John and Wendy Buck acquired it in 1978. John and Wendy instigated a twenty-year development program, which commenced with the restoration of the original winery building and the replanting of all of the original vineyards, as well as the acquisition of new vineyard sites. Elston is named for Elston Hall in Nottinghamshire, the ancestral home of Charles Darwin’s family. Darwin’s ‘theory of natural selection’ forms the basis of modern evolutionary theory, the foundation of biology. The wyvern symbol of Elston Hall appears on the label. The superb quality of the 2021 vintage was immediately apparent in the fully ripe grapes that were hand-harvested from their separate, individual plots within Te Mata Estate’s vineyards. Each parcel was gently whole-cluster pressed, cold settled and racked to new and seasoned French oak barrels for fermentation. The resulting wines remained in contact with their yeast lees, with a number going through malolactic fermentation. The finest lots were selected for further maturation, spending a total of 11 months in barrel. Brilliant white gold in the glass, Elston Chardonnay ’21 has wonderfully intense aromas of golden peach, apricot, and lemon zest. Focused but flowing - this is a wine of precision, power, and poise. On the mouth-watering palate there’s oodles of ripe, white-fleshed fruit, nougat and nutmeg, integrated fine oak tannin, and just a flick of salinity. A long line of sweet citrus acidity, and ripe Hawke’s Bay chardonnay fruit, runs through here. Resplendent in its charms, Elston Chardonnay ’21 would match with the best grilled lobster you can get. Or just sit and watch the wine unfold over several hours with a soft-ripened white cheese.

Fletcher C23 Langhe DOC Chardonnay
Product Description: The Fletcher C23 Langhe DOC Chardonnay 2023 showcases the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that David Fletcher has cultivated since his move to Barbaresco. Sourced from a combination of established vineyards and David’s own plots, this Chardonnay is a true reflection of its unique terroir. With a focus on organic viticulture and minimal intervention, this wine combines fresh, bright acidity with complexity and elegance. The 2023 vintage is the result of careful whole-bunch pressing and natural fermentation, aged in a mix of new and older French oak barrels. The outcome is a balanced, textured wine with vibrant citrus and orchard fruit notes, and a creamy, mineral finish. Maker David Fletcher’s journey to producing exceptional Nebbiolo began in 2004, when his passion for this iconic Italian grape led him to Italy. Immersing himself in the traditions of Barbaresco and Barolo, he honed his craft and dedication to Nebbiolo, ultimately creating Fletcher Wines to blend his love for Italian winemaking with Australia’s unique terroir. By 2012, Fletcher settled in Barbaresco, where he continues to produce wines that reflect both the best of Italian tradition and Australian innovation. Fletcher’s self-professed obsession with Nebbiolo has become the cornerstone of his winemaking philosophy. An Australian by birth, Fletcher’s journey to the Langhe hills of Piemonte was driven by an undeniable passion for Nebbiolo’s transcendent quality, and now, he calls Barbaresco home. Starting his winemaking career early, Fletcher didn’t inherit a winery or follow a family tradition—his passion for winemaking grew organically, alongside his love for the land and the grape variety he reveres. Today, Fletcher’s wines are a testament to his dedication, not only to Nebbiolo but to the unique expression it can have in both Italy and Australia. With the production of no more than 25,000 bottles annually, Fletcher Wines remains a highly sought-after, small-scale winery with a focus on quality over quantity. His ability to craft world-class Nebbiolo, alongside his expanding portfolio of wines, is a reflection of his ongoing commitment to pushing boundaries and continuing the exploration of this exceptional grape. Philosophy David Fletcher’s winemaking philosophy is built on a foundation of organic viticulture, sustainability, and the pursuit of both tradition and innovation. With a commitment to certified organic vineyards and sites in conversion, Fletcher is dedicated to cultivating healthier vines and creating a lower environmental impact. In response to the increasing monoculture in the Langhe, he has also invested in preserving biodiversity by owning land in forests, swamps, and grasslands, offsetting the land used for grape production. Fletcher sees himself as fortunate to make wines in the Langhe, a region rich with winemaking history, but he values the freedom to deconstruct tradition and craft wines without boundaries. He embraces spontaneous ferments using the ‘pied de cuve’ method and works with old wood barrels to bring out the unique character of each wine. With a focus on small batches, no filtering or fining, and minimal intervention, Fletcher allows the wine to evolve naturally, reflecting both his passion and the distinctiveness of the terroir. Always searching for the best vineyards, Fletcher’s wines aim to capture a true sense of place and continue to push boundaries, crafting wines that are both innovative and a tribute to the land they come from.
