Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Non-Vintage

The House of Ruinart stands in a league of its own, defying convention and captivating with its unique legacy. Founded in 1729, it holds the distinction of being the very first Champagne House, a visionary endeavour inspired by the foresight of a monk who possessed a remarkable intuition far beyond his era. In the heart of the Champagne region, specifically in Reims, a significant moment unfolded on September 1st, 1729. It was then that Nicolas Ruinart, driven by the profound influence of his visionary monk uncle, drafted the historic charter that marked the birth of Maison Ruinart, forever etching its name as the world's pioneer in champagne production. Little did they know that this bold initiative would pave the way for an enduring enterprise that thrives and prospers even after nearly three centuries, leaving an indelible mark on the course of history. During the remarkable period of the mid-18th century, Ruinart made a significant acquisition to enhance its champagne production. The House secured ownership of ancient crayères, subterranean chalk quarries meticulously carved beneath the historic city of Reims. These extraordinary caverns served as the ideal sanctuary for storing their precious bottles, ensuring optimal aging and maturation. Building upon its reputation for innovation, Ruinart continued to push boundaries. In 1764, the House achieved yet another milestone by successfully shipping the first-ever Rosé champagne across the vast expanse of Europe. This ground-breaking achievement introduced a new dimension to the world of champagne, captivating connoisseurs with its captivating hues and captivating flavors. Bestowed with nobility and adopting the esteemed name Ruinart de Brimont in 1817, the family has diligently guided the House for over two centuries. With each passing generation, a new Head of House emerges, bringing forth their unique talents and unwavering commitment to serve the lineage of Ruinart. This steadfast succession ensures the preservation of the family's legacy, as each successor devotes themselves to upholding the traditions and values that define Ruinart. Their collective efforts have propelled the House to unparalleled heights, solidifying its reputation as a bastion of excellence in the world of champagne. Ruinart Blanc de Blancs embodies purity of the Chardonnay grapes from which it is made exclusively. Made primarily with Premiers Crus from the Cote des Blancs, and Montagne de Reims Terroirs, it is intensely aromatic. The blend is 100% Chardonnay from various years (20 to 25% of which are reserve wines from the 2 previous years). The nose is powerfully reminiscent of fresh fruits with dominant notes of citrus and exotic fruits, followed by a touch of jasmine, white peaches and pink peppercorns. A perfect champagne for aperitifs, particularly in spring and summer. It is an excellent complement to seafood and shellfish; perfect with a sea bass or bream tartare. It would also be very good with seared sole. Note - this item does not come with a gift box.

Maison Mumm RSRV Blanc de Blancs

Since 1838, Maison Mumm's outstanding champagnes have been exclusively enjoyed by a select group of insiders. These champagnes perfectly capture the exceptional quality of their terroir and the mastery of their craft. Continuing this rich tradition, the RSRV collection stands alone as the sole assortment of five cuvées, all sourced from 100% Grand Cru vineyards. Among them, RSRV Blanc de Blancs shines as a champagne known for its impeccable clarity, invigorating liveliness, and delicate effervescence. This exceptional champagne is crafted specifically with Chardonnay from Cramant, known as "chalk mount" in the Côte des Blancs. These vineyards include historic plots that were acquired by Maison Mumm back in 1882. The exceptional terroir of this Grand Cru region provides optimal climatic conditions and chalky soil that beautifully accentuate the mineral and delicate flavors of Chardonnay. In the latest release of RSRV Blanc de Blancs 2015, a relatively lower pressure of 4.5 bars (compared to the typical 6 bars in other champagnes) allows the wine to fully showcase its minerality and subtle effervescence. Following a minimum of three years of aging in the cellars and a light dosage of 6 grams per litre, this limited-production 100% Grand Cru cuvée is now ready to be savoured. The bottle also has a distinctive narrow neck allowing the wine to develop more slowly for a longer preservation. With a captivating appearance, this champagne delights the eyes with its glistening and radiant demeanor, adorned with delicate shades of green and pale yellow. The effervescence is mesmerizing, as ethereal and fine bubbles gracefully dance in the glass. As the bouquet unfolds, the nose is greeted by a symphony of enticing aromas. Zesty citrus notes take centre stage, with the invigorating scents of lemon and grapefruit perfuming the air. The fragrance of a freshly baked lemon meringue tart fills the senses, while the sweetness of luscious white peaches adds an irresistible allure. Upon the first sip, the palate is awakened by an incisive and invigorating sensation. The wine reveals its remarkable freshness and vitality, leaving a distinct impression of crispness that enlivens the taste buds. The mineral character shines through, adding depth and complexity to each sip. The journey reaches its climax with a long and captivating finish, a harmonious combination of flavors that lingers on, enchanting and satisfying the senses with its graceful presence. Whether it's a celebratory occasion or an intimate gathering, RSRV Blanc de Blancs brings an extraordinary touch to the dining table, enhancing the flavors of wide range of cuisine, particularly pork, rich fish, shellfish and mild cheeses. Its ability to harmonize and elevate the culinary experience makes it a versatile and captivating choice for discerning wine enthusiasts and gastronomes alike.

Domaine Joseph Colin Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru

Product Description: One barrel, Grand Cru power—Bâtard-Montrachet with grace and grip. From a single barrel and 50-year-old vines, the 2023 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru from Domaine Joseph Colin is a rare release even by Burgundy standards. Sitting beside Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, this small plot delivers the full breadth of Grand Cru weight and aromatic precision—but with Colin’s unmistakable mineral signature and restraint. The nose is rich yet composed—burnt butter, dried apricot, peach and citrus backed by spice and faint honeysuckle. The palate is commanding, with smoky stone fruit, citrus tension and salinity that reins in the power. It's a wine of muscle and finesse, tightly wound yet already layered. Made without bâtonnage or fining, and with minimal sulphur at bottling, this wine is bottled directly from its original barrel. Best cellared through 2036 or longer. Serve with the finest shellfish, white fish or creamy poultry preparations. Tasting Notes NOSE – Deep and expressive Burnt butter, dried apricot, peach, citrus and spice. PALATE – Grand and balanced Layered orchard fruit, smoky weight, citrus bite and saline lift. FINISH – Long and harmonious Structured, tense and deeply mineral with refined persistence. Domaine Joseph Colin Saint Aubin 1er cru 'les Murgers Dents de Chien'

Product Description: One of Saint-Aubin’s most serious sites—chalk, cut and quiet power. The 2023 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru “Les Murgers Dents de Chien” is drawn from one of the commune’s highest and most esteemed vineyards, perched just above Grand Cru Chevalier-Montrachet and bordering En Remilly. Made with a minimalist approach—whole bunch pressed, no bâtonnage or fining, and only minimal sulphur at bottling—the wine is fermented in 350-litre barrels and finished in stainless for extra focus. The nose is tight and reductive at first, slowly unfurling pear, stone fruit and white flowers. The palate is taut, layered and deeply mineral, finishing long with chalk and quiet power.
