It is in homage to the french iconic novelist Françoise Sagan that we created Marinette, a perfect embodiment of these wines of pleasure, celebration, friendship, ideal for a day at the beach or a winter evening by the fireside. These beverages also reflect their creators: Caroline, a specialized oenologist with expertise in the wines and secret terroirs of Provence, and Romain, a wine technician, amateur botanist, and lover of the Mediterranean scrubland. Matured in vats and casks for 7 months. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Lifted dark raspberry and liquorice aromas combine with vanillin oak, earth and spice. Juicy dark raspberry, liquorice and dark cherry fruits carry medium body weight over an earth and vanillin spice back drop. Made from South Australian grenache grapes, bottled young and recommended to be served with a chill. Light in colour and style, flavours of red plum and cherry with a soft acidity. Crafted from two unique McLaren Vale vineyards as our celebration of Grenache - 1947 planted Grenache bush vines growing in deep sand and 1990 planted single-wire trellised vines.Medium deep, dark cherry in colour. Lifting fragrant aromas of strawberry/raspberry jujube, rose petal, lavender, cinnamon and star anise. Flavours of dark cherry, pomegranate and chocolate earth flow through the medium weight palate. Fine tannins and natural acidity focus the fruit into the moreish, savoury finish.
