Grenache has long been a stalwart of the South Australian wine scene and Penfolds have been blending Grenache with Shiraz since the 1950's. Recent years has seen a growing trend for the luscious perfumed styles like those emanating out of the northern Rhône and the Bin 138 produces a brilliant example. Following in the footsteps of the highly successful La Planchaliere rosé, we present a sparkling version in a handy can format. The wine is produced from grenache and cinsault and is a beautiful French rosé in colour. The bouquet presents delicate notes of strawberries and red berries such as raspberries and fresh cherries. The palate dances nicely between fresh fruits, citrus characters and a lovely clean, crispness.

Sorrento in Italy is a destination dear to Steve's heart, where mosaic tiles adorn the domes of Churches, forming beautiful motifs with distinctive character, very similar to the Serafino Sorrento Grenache.

Dusty road. Aroma: Ripe red cherries, cranberries, and forest strawberries, notes of sage, thyme, and a touch of dried bay leaf. Hints of star anise, balsamic undertones, and earthy forest floor, cacao nib and cedar. Palate: Juicy red and bramble fruits from the Shiraz, and a bright, spicy core from the Grenache. Mataro adds savoury, smoky notes and fine-grained tannins.

Shiraz and Grenache blend beautifully in many of the warmer parts of South Australia. This AAA is Paxton's 9th release, crafted similar to a Rhone-style wine yet it is packed with Au's Terroir. Bright with juicy red berry fruits and spices on the palate with well integrated oak and tannins, giving this wine a remarkable lengthy finish.
