Battery Point Distillery Islay #2 Single Malt Whisky
Product Information: BPD ‘Islay Cask #2’ is the second release from Battery Point Distillery, showcasing the versatility of their new-make spirit. Maturing in casks sourced from two of the giants of Scottish Single Malt Whisky—Laphroaig and Lagavulin—this whisky is further balanced with a dash of second-fill Port and Sherry casks. Remarkably, no peated grain is used in this whisky; the subtle peaty character comes entirely from the exceptional casks. The nose greets you with buttery smooth notes of nougat, manuka honey, peanut brittle, and a hint of smoky bacon. On the palate, expect rich flavours of Werther’s Original caramels, maple syrup, and pine needles, finishing with a delightful touch of peat-smoked almonds. It’s truly spectacular. Bottled at a robust 62.3% ABV, this limited release consists of just 371 bottles. Jack Lark’s visionary approach to cask and barrel influence continues under Luke Lawrence and the production team. Their new-make spirit, known for its oily, malty, and slightly fruity profile, serves as the cornerstone of Battery Point Distillery’s whiskies. Using 100% Tasmanian malt mash and pure Tasmanian water, each batch offers a unique expression, ensuring that no two releases are ever the same. Maker: Battery Point Distillery was born out of a deep passion for Tasmania and a profound respect for the art of whisky distilling. Situated in the heart of Hobart’s historic Battery Point, the distillery specialises in small-batch, handcrafted whiskies matured in carefully selected sherry, tawny, and bourbon casks. Founded by Jack Lark, son of Australian whisky pioneer Bill Lark, the distillery is now helmed by Luke Lawrence, who upholds the same meticulous standards. Each batch showcases distinctive characteristics, reflecting the influence of single, double, or triple cask ageing, offering whisky lovers contemporary expressions of Tasmania’s rich distilling heritage. Jack Daniels KSC Distillers Select #1 Single Barrel Barrel Strength Tennessee Whiskey
Jack Daniels it's a legend in the world of whiskey. This iconic brand has become synonymous with quality, tradition, and a taste that can satisfy even the most discerning palate. The story of Jack Daniels begins back in the 19th century, in the small town of Lynchburg, Tennessee. It was there that a young and ambitious man named Jasper Newton Daniel, better known as Jack, set out to create a whiskey that would leave a lasting mark on the world. Jack Daniels is known for its unique production process, which sets it apart from other whiskeys. The key ingredient is the limestone-filtered water from the nearby Cave Spring Hollow, giving the whiskey its distinct smoothness and character. The grains used in the distillation process are carefully selected and milled at the distillery, ensuring only the finest quality. One of the most intriguing aspects of Jack Daniels is its charcoal mellowing process. This involves slowly dripping the whiskey through ten feet of tightly packed charcoal, resulting in a smoothness that is unmatched. This process, known as the Lincoln County Process, is what gives Jack Daniels its signature flavour profile. But it's not just the production process that makes Jack Daniels special. It's the people behind the brand, the craftsmen who have dedicated their lives to perfecting the art of whiskey-making. Each drop of Jack Daniels undergoes meticulous scrutiny and is crafted with passion and expertise, ensuring that every sip is a testament to the brand's commitment to excellence. Jack Daniels has made an indelible mark on popular culture as well.
