With this whisky, White Oak opted for a little twist in their aging process using ex Sake Casks to mature for three years. This provides a sweet and fruity profile. Full boded palate with deep sweetness, malt, and a very slight peat. Medium to long finish. Located in the city of Akashi in the Hyogo Prefecture, by the seaside of the Seto Island Sea is the White Oak Distillery. This distillery was founded in 1888 by Eigashima Shuzo and has been producing Sake and Shochu every since. In 1919, Eigashima Shuzo obtained a license to manufacture whisky and when the company moved to their current facilities in 1984, the White Oak Distillery was born.

Matured in French Oak casks previously used to age apera fortified wine. Rich copper in colour with engaging fragrant aromas & a pleasant mouth feel with subtle apera dried fruit flavours, malt, spice sultanas and caramel.

Overaged Malt Whisky is a vatting of single malts aged between 12 and 27 years in oak casks and resulting from a cognac (double) distillation method with a mash exclusively made of malted barley.

It has been aged in 3 x 225 litre, charred casks from Heavens Hill Distillery in Kentucky. Decanted in February 2022 at 50% Alc it is a numbered release. With an initial limited release of 500 bottles. Colour: deep golden charred casks from Heavens Hill Distillery in Kentucky, Aged for 4 years & 3 months. It contains natural colouring and flavouring from the casks with a rich fulfilling flavoursome palate finish. Nose: When you raise your nose into a glass of our Single Malt Whisky, that highlights the famous bold spirit style against the signature bright fragrant aromas with hints of vanilla, honey, and pears. Perfectly compliment the cleanliness of the double distilled spirit. Allowing the spirit to sit and breathe before you indulge into your first sip. Colour: Our Shiraz is deep crimson red to rich brown and caramel, aged in uncharred Shiraz Casks from a locally sourced Riverina Winery for just over 4 years, it contains natural colouring and flavouring from the casks with a rich fulfilling palate finish. Nose: When you raise your nose into a glass of our Single Malt Whisky Shiraz Cask, that highlights the famous bold spirit style against the signature red fruit aromas, savoury back drop of sweet fruit, made up from plum jam, red grapes, orange marmalade and more berries, shrouded by earthy tones and a small amount of spice, perfectly compliment the cleanliness of the double distilled spirit. Allowing the spirit to sit and breathe, before you indulge into your first sip. Palate: In order to maximise your palate, hold the first sip in your mouth, then you will really appreciate on the next sip, look out for sweet, bitter, acidic, and spicy shiraz tones. Glenglassaugh is produced using the highest quality of Scottish barley and traditional distilling methods, their key focus being on quality. While many distilleries have become highly automated, at Glenglassaugh their spirit is still handcrafted by a small, highly skilled team dedicated to creating the highest quality product. Only the finest casks are selected to slowly mature their precious spirit in their coastal warehouses until it is ready. Since 1875, Glenglassaugh distillery has sat quietly on the edge of the picturesque Sandend Bay, breathing in the North Sea air which flows through its warehouses and invigorates its sweet Highland spirit with notes of the sea. Silent for a period of more than 20 years, the distillery was re-awakened in 2008 and its stills brought back to life. Unearthed from the coastal warehouses, a rare collection of vintage casks were discovered from before the distillery fell quiet. These forgotten whiskies can now be experienced as part of their Glenglassaugh rare cask series. Glenglassaugh rare single casks are a discovery to be made, each cask telling its own story. All casks are bottled without chill filtration, for natural character, with the pure colour drawn entirely from the wood of the cask. The latest release in the distilleries rare cask series, Batch 3, features whiskies that are no younger than 30 years old, and provides a unique glance into the history of the distillery and the heart of Glenglassaugh. These elegant old whiskies offer a lush, ripe Highland single malt Scotch whisky experience, evoking notes of tropical fruit and the sea, while each cask type offers a unique taste influence. This whisky was matured in an ex Bourbon barrel for forty-two long years. Hand selected by GlenGlassaugh's Master Distiller Billy Walker. A nose of roasted orchard fruits, fresh vanilla pods and gentle cinnamon and ginger notes. The palate is of pears poached in five spice with hazelnuts and dry cedar. Cotswolds Peated Cask Single Malt Whisky is hand-crafted in small batches using 100% floor-malted local barley. Long fermentations and double pot distillation, followed by maturation in ex-peated quarter casks, create a wonderfully-balanced rich and fruity whisky with subtle notes of peat smoke. Bottled at cask strength. Nose: Vanilla with light charring and a touch of dried fruits and spice. Palate: Creamy peat smoke layered with light fruits and tannin-rich wood. Finish: Lasting finish of smoking embers, floral honey and woody sugars.
