Don Julio Añejo spends more than the minimum requirement of 1 year on oak, and is normally aged between 18 months and two years before it reaches its optimum age and taste profile. As with the rest of the Don Julio range the nose is fruity and floral, but with notes of vanilla and fresh agave, whilst the palate is slightly richer and more full bodied, yet still sweet and rich with citrus characteristics.

Jose Cuervo's iconic Reposado Tequila was the first ever Tequila made after José Maria Guadalupe de Cuervo was granted land by the King of Spain in 1758 to grow the now famous Agave plant. Our Rosa has rested just long enough in our fine Cabernet barrels to enrich the natural agave juice, without overpowering its delicate floral notes. We source only the finest Napa Cabernet French White Oak barrels to age our Rosa. We leave our Rosa barrels uncharred, allowing the Cabernet to interact directly with the tequila imparting a subtle pink hue and light floral finish.
