Clase Azul Reposado is an ultra-premium reposado tequila made with Tequilana Weber Blue Agave that is slow cooked in traditional stone ovens for a minimum of 72 hours. Once the agave reaches a deep, rich flavor, it is fermented with proprietary yeast prior to distillation. Once the tequila is distilled, it is aged for 8 months in hand-selected oak barrels. This process results in a superb, smooth taste which exceeds expectations with each sip. Don Julio 1942 Añejo was created for the first time back in 2002 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Don Julio and is the ultimate experession of the Tequila art. Made in the Añejo style, this Tequila is made from the finest piñas, double distilled and aged for 24-30 months in small oak barrels. Rich, sweet aromas of caramel and toffee are layered with a fresh vanilla fragrance and hints of cherry-like red fruits.

Tasting note: Made from 100% Arabica beans (reportedly, some other brands rely on artificial flavouring). Fabulous burnt umber appearance is thick and glass staining. The tequila base is more salient in the mouth, with a creamed-up texture that’s akin to coffee flavoured milk with a splash of tequila and dark chocolate for good measure.
