A stellar range of Mexican (yes, Mexican) rums named after the valiant Mexican fighters during the Mexican Revolution. The Villanueva family are 3rd generation of rum producers who hone their skills in the town of Cordoba, on Mexico's coastal province of Veracruz. Veracruz has been famous for its high quality sugar cane plantations since the sixteenth century when the grass was first introduced to the America's by the Spanish. Los Valientes 20 year old is a blend of 70% pot-distilled rum from sugar cane juice (rhum agricole) and 30% colum-distilled molasses rum, charcoal filtered before being aged 20 years in white oak casks. Each bottle is hand numbered and hand signed. Nose: Molasses and treacle, rancio, cocoa and toasted oak. Palate: Earthy nuttiness with marzipan, dark chocolate with exotic spices to finish.

A full-bodied aged 15 yo craft rum with rich and complex aromas of Madagascar vanilla, soft caramel and toasted oak. On the palate, layered notes of cinnamon, roasted nuts and allspice are perfectly blended with a mild sweetness and a light, smooth finish.

Dos Maderas, meaning ‘two woods’ references the unusual maturation of this rum. It was initially aged in the Caribbean for 5 years before a second stint in Spain. The latter takes place at Williams & Humbert's facilities in Jerez with the rum transferred to casks that previously contained “Dos Cortados” (Palo Cortado Sherry). The final stage finishes the rum in x Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks. Tasting note: Brilliant amber-gold ochre dazzles in the glass. Moderate aromas of raisin and date cake, raw sugar, dark chocolate, caramel fudge and aged muscat wine, follows through to a silky, easy, graceful delivery; Flavours of liqueur muscat, raisins and honey finishing moderately viscous and medium-sweet with succulent dried fruit and caramel notes in the aftertaste. One of the harderst bottlings of the Chairman's 1931 Series to obtain as they've become almost depleted. We hope you can enjoy them while they are still around. Chairmans Reserve 1931 2nd Edition Rum uses casks put down in 2004, 2005 and 2006. These include casks containing 100% Coffey Still distillates matured in a combination of American white oak casks and port casks. In addition, we selected casks with 100% Pot Still and 50/50 blends of Pot/Coffey Still aged in American white oak. The blend was assembled and then placed back into American white oak casks for a period of three months for a final marriage before being bottled.

Back in 1931, the Dennery Distillery was founded in St. Lucia. This year is honoured by St. Lucia Distillers (who were formed by the merger of the Dennery Distillery and other distillery in 1972) with the 1931 series of top notch rums! This is the Fourth Edition from the series.
