Golden Mile Pinot Noir

A top-quality organic Pinot Noir from the home of the long white cloud, Marlborough New Zealand. Deep violet in colour with a bright red hue indicating freshness. Hints of forest floor brambles and dark cherry compote combine with spiced note of French Oak on the aroma to produce a layer and complex aroma. On the palate a richness of flavour continues from the aroma, with the addition of supporting tannin and juicy acidity finishing with a long persistent length of flavour. Perfect to drink now but capable of developing even more complexity within bottle in the medium term. Pairs well with Chicken wrapped in bacon, or rare red meats or Salmon.

Colab & Bloom Nero d'Avola

The core of this wine comes from the Vasarelli's Blue Lagoon vineyard located in the Fleurieu Peninsula, just above the Murray river mouth, North of Goolwa. This cool, southerly exposure ensures we get full varietal flavour, with great acidity. This Nero dAvola is grown with the utmost of care and picked early to ensure perfectly ripe, healthy grapes, low yields and harvesting at precisely the right time.Aromas of red fruit, spices and flint follow through in a medium-bodied wine with textural fine tannins and a subtle smoky, fruity and spicy finish. White pepper and ripe red fruits make this wine seductive. This Nero dAvola can be enjoyed now or optimised with short term cellaring of 3 years.

Grower Gatherer Shiraz

Silkwood Estate Walcott Malbec

Deep red with a purple hue. Aromas of dark berries and chocolate. Full of striking dark berry flavours that linger on the palate with elegant oak spice and fine tannins providing structure.

Three Ponds Holman Nero d'Avola

Mount Eyre Vineyards combines a European family tradition of winemaking with a generation of experience in Australia. This 'Nero' is testament to their history.Mid purple. Dark berries, liquorice, confectionary and crushed red petals. Mid weight with plum, black cherry and blackberry, hints of anise, Chinotto and bakers spice, fine-grained tannins and a long, silken finish. Deliciously drinkable!

Mojo Cabernet Sauvignon

Purple, red with violet hues. Punchy, varietal Ribena, cassis aromas with underlying herbaceous mint and tomato leaf and a hint of dusty cigar box. Vibrant, intriguing palate loaded with blackcurrant and wild berry fruit fused with fresh peppermint and silky dark chocolate, embellished with savoury black olive and nutmeg. Ample, crunchy acid and cedary, nutty oak provide a supportive backbone with both imparting structures to gracefully hold the palate together then neatly uniting with the bountiful, velvety tannin providing a lingering, dry, chalky finish. No brainer for a pink roasted leg of lamb with traditional mint sauce, BBQ'd shoulder of lamb or for the slightly more adventurous, pappardelle with hare sauce.

De Bortoli Estate Vineyard Gamay

Saint Cosme Cotes du Rhone

We've been great supporters of the captivating wines made at Château de Saint Cosme ever since we discovered their wines several years ago. Made of 100% Syrah in the southern Rhône Valley, this wine strikes the ultimate balance between both power and refinement. The quality of this wine should not come as a surprise given that the family have been making wine from the same soil since 1490. 'This 100 per cent syrah from the Gigondas area has deep colour and a spicy, earthy, graphite and violet aroma, with little or no oak influence Dark cherry, too. Full, round palate with flesh and fruit sweetness, finishing with gently drying tannin. Excellent wine of its type, and screw-capped. Best within six years. 13 per cent alcohol. 92/100.' - Sydney Morning Herald | Huon Hooke.
