2015 was a very good year for Bin 389. Some say it was the best wine of the Penfolds release in its graduate year. Deeply coloured, unhurried in its evolution, still loads of buoyant fruit impact at the front, then descending, Penfolds-style, into a multi-faceted, deeply flavoured, smoothly edged charmer. It's a definite "keeper". Bin 389's repuation is enhanced just a little bit more with this vintage. To be enjoyed with best friends over a great meal.

Penfolds Quantum Bin 98 is the continuation of a twenty-year endeavor from when Australian vine cuttings were planted in Californian soil. A Wine of the World that encapsulates a bold blending alliance, Quantum reveals a wine that shows wisdom, crafted with conviction but also embedded in the quality-first philosophy that underpins Penfolds flagships. The wine serves as the most powerful expression of Penfolds' blending style and leads the charge in their ambition to seek out parcels of intense flavor, structural tannins and equal parts grace and complexity. Northern and southern hemispheres bring prized cabernet sauvignon from Napa Valley and pedigreed shiraz from South Australia, respectively, into each others realm. Not adhering to expectations and de rigueur.

Smooth, complex and luscious, Penfolds Great Grandfather Port was first released in 1994, to commemorate 150 years of winemaking by Penfolds. A unique blend of the finest and oldest Tawny ports, it is a smooth, complex and multi-layered port with attractive rancio complexity.

Launched in 1998 with the 1995 vintage, Yattarna is the result of one of the most comprehensive, focused and highly publicised wine development projects ever conducted in Australia. The aspiration and independence of mind across generations of Penfolds winemakers inspired the ambition to create a white wine that would set the standard for ultra-fine Australian chardonnay. Selectively sourcing only the very best chardonnay fruit from cool-climate regions, coupled with clever winemaking, the style continues to evolve. Yattarna reflects Penfolds patience and continued commitment to its original goal, its very name being drawn from local indigenous language, meaning little by little, gradually. Each vintage provides the opportunity to further raise the quality bar.

The 50 Year Old Rare Tawny is a symbol of Penfolds heritage, typifying collaboration and shared creative expression. For Series 1, Penfolds collaborated with glass artist Nick Mount to create 330 units, individually blown and hand crafted to suit the rarity of the wine. The wine encased captures the legacy of past and the aspirations of present winemakers, spanning almost a century of fortified history in one blend. Amongst the many individual components captured in this wine is the 1915 vintage, reported to be the foundation of the first Grandfather cask. Additionally, the 1940, 1945 vintages, the first two commercial releases of the Grandfather (in 1965 and 1969 respectively) and the first Great Grandfather release (1994). Incorporating the 1915 vintage component from Penfolds precious glass stock reserves means the Penfold 50 Year Old Rare Tawny carries a generic connectionto the earliest recorded vintage of Penfolds Grandfather Tawny.

The Bin 389 style evolved as a result of experiments, by Max Schubert, in the 1950s to develop a highly individual wine using a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz with compatible oak treatment. Bin 389 combines the elegance of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness of Shiraz and demonstrates the traditional Penfolds' trademark - balance between fruit and oak, giving the wine character and longevity.
