MICHELE CHIARLO, La Court Riserva, Barbera D'Asti Nizza DOCG

Michele Chiarlo Gavi Palas

Made from Cortese grapes, it's our coolest Gavi! Lively and fresh, thanks to a balanced acidity. it's smooth, floral and fruity on the nose, harmonious, elegant and with great fragrance, and displays a pleasing roundness.

Michele Chiarlo Asili

Michele Chiarlo Asili Barbaresco DOCG Michele Chiarlo sources its Nebbiolo for this cuvée front the 1ha Asili vineyard which sits at 250m asl on blue-grey calcareous marl having with a small presence of clay. The site is marginal, poor in organic matter, but rich in elements such as magnesium and calcium. Elegant and ethereal (the winery describes these aspects as aristocratic), there is typical notes of violet, red fruits and fine spices on the nose while the lengthy palate is complex and silky. Asili is a prestigious and historic Added Geographical Indication of the Barbaresco Docg, a designation which has made vinification possible in only four municipal districts in Langhe: Alba, Barbaresco, Neive and Treiso.

MICHELE CHIARLO NIVOLE MOSCATO

“The Moscato is the best dessert wine in the world… and Nivole is constantly the best” - the late Michael Broadbent, Director of Christie’s and Master of Wine. Hand-harvested from select Moscato Bianco vineyards in the Piedmont DOCG, typically with white, sandy soils of maritime origin. The grapes are pressed long and slow, with the juice fermented at low temperatures to capture the variety's typical musky perfume, with fermentation stopped at 5% abv. The carbon dioxide produced during fermentation is retained to give this wine its typical frizzante style. Beautifully aromatic, with floral notes of roses, ripe peach, apricot and mango. Fresh and lively on the palate, with well-balanced summer fruit flavours, zingy acidity, refreshing bubbles and luscious sweetness. So perfumed and extremely drinkable.
