Planted in the late 19th century, the High Trellis vineyard was the first d'Arenberg vineyard to be trained above knee height. For the past four decades, a Cabernet Sauvignon has been produced from the vineyard to critical acclaim, even winning the Jimmy Watson trophy in 1969. Something that d'Arry reminds current winemaker, and son, Chester about often!

'McLaren Vale shiraz', pretty much all you need to say to get us salivating, add in 'single-vineyard museum release', and we're chomping at the metaphorical bit. From one of the industry's most well-known and instantly recognisable producers, this beautiful drop is equally at home now with a hearty meal, or in the cellar for the next 10 years. Each single-vineyard has distinct feel and flavour, this is no different. Ripe dark fruits, vanilla and cocoa, a touch of mint and silky-but-robust tannins holding the whole thing together. This is Vale shiraz at its peak.

This McLaren Vale Chardonnay displays rich tropical fruit with subtle oak integration adding complexity. A trademark d'arenberg style, the overall balance indicates the potential to age well.

This unusual variety is well suited to produce sparkling red. Aromas of red-fruit jam and exotic spice jump from the glass and the palate has delicious sweet fruit flavours with terrific length.

These traditional sparkling varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are sourced from the cool climate Adelaide Hills, and are picked early to retain high natural acidity. Small batches of these low yielding grapes are gently pressed in stainless stell basket presses. Following primary and partial malolactic fermentation the inidividual parcels are bottled and inoculated with yeast and sugar to encourage secondary fermentation. The cuvee is fermented in the bottle to develop complexity for approximately four years. This is a dry style sparkling with minerality, a crisp acid backbone and layers of flowers, fruits and toasty savoury nuances.
