This beautiful wine displays an attractive ruby red colour in a glass. The well balanced bouquet emits medium intensity fragrances of blackberry, dried herbs and earth. It offers coffee, toasted oak and vanilla characters towards the end. The nose smoothly makes way for a lush palate, filled with flavours of juicy forest fruits and soft vanilla, leading to savoury notes. A blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, this attractive white from Leeuwin Estate shows concentrated tropical fruit characters, such as honeydew melons, pineapples and fresh lime along with aromatic floral notes of Jasmine, frangipani with hints of warm spices on the nose. It is well rounded with vibrant citrus fruits and balanced acidity on the palate. Length finish and great with Asian food.

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are sourced from several select vineyard sites located in the Wilyabrup sub region and north to Wildwood Rd in an endeavour to capture ripe fruit flavours, supple tannins and the distinctive perfume of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon. A deep and inviting black cherry colour with floral notes of violets and fruity, doughy aromas of just baked blackberry muffins. The palate is soft, inviting, and full of free range forest fruits, vanilla, cocoa and loads of supple, fine tannin. Such a pleasure to drink now but with ample ripe tannin structure to allow for aging up to 5 years.

This medium bodied and elegant wine is a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon enhanced with a small percentage of classic varietals. Following fermentation and extended maceration, the wine has been matured in new and old French oak barriques, producing a complex blend of Margaret River fruit characters including cassis, eucalypt, capsicum, mulberry and plum with secondary notes of chocolate and cedar. 93/100 James Halliday Wine Companion 2016.
