A fine balanced wine, with a long palate that shows finesse.Ø WINEMAKING Each parcel of fruit is gently crushed and transferred into small open fermenters. Before fermentation starts the juice is concentrated by removing 15% of the volume. This facilitates a greater intensity of flavour. Heading down boards keep the cap submerged for better skin contact. The fermenters are temperature controlled to provide optimum conditions. Gentle extraction is achieved by the draining of wine from the skins and returning back over. One of the early pioneers of the Margaret River region, Woodlands' vineyards date back to 1973. As curator of these historic vineyards, Stuart & Andrew Watson have firmly re-established Woodlands into the top echolon of Margaret River producers. Sourced from an the outstanding 2008 vintage, the Shelley Anne Cabernet Sauvignon shows cassis, mulberry and blackcurrant with that typical bay leaf and cedar undertones. A wine that will live for well over a decade.

S.R.S. stands for Sub Regional Series. Carefully selected individual grape varieties that excel within a certain sub-region. These wines represent the very best varietal wines under the Flametree label and will only be made in the best vintages, volumes will be small and availability very limited. Exceptional in quality, complexity and finesse. It shows all the perfume and structure that make Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon wines so famous. Lifted blackberries, mulberry, plums, earth and dark chocolate dominate the nose and palate at this early stage. Whilst showing plenty of inky dark fruits, violets and bitter chocolate. The palate also displays wonderful fruit and oak tannin, the result of 16 months oak maturation.

With new winemaker Ollie Crawford on board, the newly labelled Devil's Lair Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% fermented in French Oak, 40% of which is new. The wine begins with concentrated cassis and redcurrant on the nose with hints of cedar and spice to give this classic red an imposing presence which continues on the palate with dense brooding flavours and French oak complexity.

This 2014 Rosabrook Cabernet Merlot is one of the Margaret River's signature wine styles. Great licks of black fruit from the Cabernet Sauvignon interlaced with the smooth plum characters on Merlot. It is a beautifully made wine with great balance and a lengthy finish. It will be great with meat dishes or even a cheese platter. Owned by Calneggia Family Vineyards, one of Margaret River's pioneering grape growers with winemaker legend Brian Fletcher pulling the winemaking levers.

Since the first release in 2002, Fraser Gallop Estate have gone from strength to strength, picking up a Jimmy Watson Medal along the way. The Cabernet Merlot is a lovely example of the blend which is so at home in Margaret River. Leafy mulberry on the nose with cassis in the background, and a soft , flavoursome palate. Delicious!

This Deep Wood wine displays ripe berries and cassis aromas with distinctive cedary oak and crush mint leave. On the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend, unfolds in the complex layers of red fruit with black olive nuances further enhanced by subtle savoury oak. The fine tannins gives it a great lengthy finish. A wine, which will be enjoyable now over dinner with family and friends. Or provided with an ideal cellaring condition, this Deep Wood Cabernet blend will blossom further up to five to seven years.
