When Giuseppe and Pietro Simi immigrated to Northern California, they settled in Sonoma County because it reminded them of their native Tuscany where wine had been made for centuries. In 1876, they founded SIMI in Healdsburg, California. Today, there still making wine from diverse Sonoma County grapes in the same stone cellar built in 1890. The palate is zesty with fresh flavours of tangerine, lemon curd, stone fruit, white peach and nectarine framed by sweet toast and vanilla followed with wet-stone minerality and orange peel on the finish. Displays classic Chardonnay characters of white peach, nectarine and fresh figs. The palate is fresh and vibrant with fruit flavours of citrus and white peach. Maturation in French oak provides subtle nutmeg and clove characters on the palate, while a clean slatey acid backbone provides length and structure to the wine. Forester Estate Chardonnay is a refreshing fruit-driven wine. Pale lemon green in colour with intense roasted nuts, honey, ripe peach and a hint of smoky oak with lingering MLF on the nose. It is medium body with similar profile from the nose. Classic acidity structures with a toasty yet deliciously creamy finish.

Since the early 90's, Penfolds have been producing Chardonnay from the cool climate region of Tumbarumba. The Chardonnay is elegant with white florals, stone fruits and a great acidity structure. Hay Shed Hill has delicate grapefruit and stone fruit flavours on the palate. And these flavours are matched with fine, minerally acidity with suble oak towards the finish.

This is the third vintage of Ballewindi Chardonnay that Sandro Mosele from Kooyong has produced exclusively for us, and he certainly hasn't dropped the ball. Another cracking Chardonnay that proves he is the master of Mornington. Sandro uses whole bunches and barrel fermenting before letting the wine spend 10 months in French oak. There's peach, fresh sweet hay, subtle notes of cream and honeydew melon on the nose. The palate balances ripe stone fruit flavours with hints of citrus and a creamy texture. It's delicate yet rounded, and is a leading light for modern Aussie Chardonnay.

An elegant, vibrant and fragrant nose with lemon, lime and pear in the foreground. Notes of peach blossom and subtle jasmine create lift and combines with cardamom pod, almond meal and roasted cashew. The palate has immense purity, with power and persistence. Lime and lemon pith define the palate, which carries through to a delicately layered middle, threaded with a fine mineral spine. Sesame seed and blanched almonds enhance complexity, finishing with a sparkling acid structure. This wine has energy in its youth, and will build texture with cellaring.

Welcome to our latest release in theMéthode range. V2022Méthode Oakre Chardonnay. A trial to explore the influence of different types and ages of oak barrels on the resultant wine. The grapes were harvested and quickly pressed into 3 types of oak for fermentation; One new 300L French Hogshead 300L, one old 500L Puncheon and one 225L barrique previously used for Cabernet Sauvignon. The resultant wine is complex, combining biscuit and melon fruit with a hint of ‘Ochre’ colour and tannin complexity. A savoury style of Chardonnay combines biscuit and melon fruits, with a subtle oak influence. The palate is complex with the new oak adding toastiness, the old oak extending the mid-palate and the red wine barrel adding a hint of ‘ochre’ colour and tannin complexity. An overall balanced and elegant wine that is textural and intriguing.
