Based in Nuits-St-Georges, the famous Domaine Faiveley was founded in 1825 and in more recent times, the domaine has greatly expanded its vineyards across the entire Côte d'Or. The grapes are entirely destemmed and fermented in a mix of new wooden vats for the top end wines and stainless steel for the lesser cuvées. This Pinot noir has a beautiful ruby colour. It has pleasant, fresh, red-fruit aromas on the nose, which we find again on the palate. It has rich and very ripe substance, with fine round tannins. It's a very well-structured and pleasing wine.

Te Rehua is the warmest and richest of the Escarpment vineyards, producing a classically structured Pinot Noir with ample volume of ripe red berry fruit. A single vineyard wine, the Te Rehua is sourced from the 1.1 ha Barton Vineyard anchored on the deep alluvial gravels of the Martinborough Terrace. The wine is fermented in traditional open topped wooden vats and regularly hand plunged before undergoing maturation in 30% new French oak for 12 months. The wine is fined but not filtered.

Burn Cottage Vineyard Moonlight Race Pinot Noir. A myriad of mulberry, wild thyme and enticing savoury undertones are interwoven with layers of ripe summer berries. The palate displays both generosity and restraint, with plump and supple tannins that are supported by an amalgam of summer ripened plums, dark cherry and a freshness reminiscent of ripe red fruits.
