Coming from one of the best vintages in recent Barossa history, the Old Block from St Hallett shows what careful vineyard management can do for a wine. Rich, dark and conerntrated but with seamless tannin intergration.

One of the benchmarks of Barossa Shiraz, Peter Lehmann's Stonewell is a classic example of the rich concentrated old vine style. While bold on the palate, there is always an inherent complexity to the Stonewell that enables it to be compared with all of the great Australian wines produced today.

Put simply, this is the finest Pinot Noir from the finest producer in arguably the finest region for production in Australia. A wine of incredible depth, concentraion, texture and length. If you love Pinot Noir, you simply must try this stunning wine.

Bright medium red with purple hue in colour; On the nose: pronounced Blackcurrant, crushed wet leaves and dark plums, bouquet of wild violet and a decent amount of almost wet tobacco oak. A full bodied wine that has great length on the palate with firm but refined tannins. Simply outstanding in its class.

Vasse Felix, Margaret River's founding wine estate, was established by Dr Thomas Brendan Cullity in 1967. Among his first plantings were Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec vines, from which he produced the estate's first red wine. The Tom Cullity descends from these original vines and represents the pinnacle of Vasse Felix. The inaugural release will be in May 2017, coinciding with Vasse Felix's 50th Anniversary.

The Torbreck Descendant has a powerful nose of blackberry and tar complemented by floral lavender and a violet lift. Full-bodied and concentrated with ripe silky tannins and plenty of extract this wine has a great future ahead.

Tasting NotesFrom some of the oldest ungrafted Shiraz vines in the world, all of at least 100 years of age.The wine delivers classical regional characters of dense, spicy blueberry fruit and savoury pan jus. Next come hints of liquorice, plum, and all-spice all delicately interwoven. A fine grained tannin structure and depth of flavour all show that this wine is made to last the distance in the cellar. A long balanced finish with persistence.WINEMAKINGThe hand-picked grapes were destemmed, but not crushed, and spent seven days on their skins in open fermenters with hand-plunging four times daily to gently extract colour, flavours and tannins. This was followed by careful basket pressing followed 24 months' maturation in our cellars in a combination of French and American oak (20% New).In keeping with the non-interventionist winemaking style we have neither fined nor filtered this wine. Bannockburn is spicy with well intergraded savoury oak and great acidity backbone. The varietal flavours such as, raspberries, strawberries and red cherries fruits lingers with a faint hint of forest floor on the palate with well supporting tannins. A greatly composed wine, this is undoubtedly pushing the setting of this country's benchmark for Pinot Noir to another level.
