LARMANDIER BERNIER Latitude Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne NV Latitude is 100% Côte des Blancs Chardonnay from vineyards on the southern side of Vertus. These vineyards comprise rich clay in the soil and are on the same latitude, hence the name, which also hints at the breadth of texture that the wines from these sites express. A generous terroir and grapes picked fully ripe, Larmandier uses mostly large format casks using wood from Stockinger in Austria. The result is a superb texture, stone-fruited depth and pure minerality with that glorious citrusy, chalky energy the area is known for.
