It's wines are made at Deep Woods winery, who unser the brilliant Julian Longwoerthy are Cabernet Sauvignon specialists, although it is "peripatetic winemaker Aldo Bratovic, who began his career decades ago under the tutelage of Brian Croser" who actually makes the wines. This 2017 is a "precisely defined Cabernet showing the character of this vintage. Blackcurrant and scented cedary oak complement each other while the chalky tannins provide the structural base and palate definition" as Ray Jordan, who awards it 93pts has written. Erin Larkin in the Halliday Wine Companion gives it 92pts.

This medium bodied and elegant wine is a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon enhanced with a small percentage of classic varietals. Following fermentation and extended maceration, the wine has been matured in new and old French oak barriques, producing a complex blend of Margaret River fruit characters including cassis, eucalypt, capsicum, mulberry and plum with secondary notes of chocolate and cedar. 93/100 James Halliday Wine Companion 2016.

Since the first release in 2002, Fraser Gallop Estate have gone from strength to strength, picking up a Jimmy Watson Medal along the way. The Cabernet Merlot is a lovely example of the blend which is so at home in Margaret River. Leafy mulberry on the nose with cassis in the background, and a soft , flavoursome palate. Delicious!

This Shiraz is uniquely Margaret River, with an incredible combination of fruit, spice and lingering fine-grained tannins. For the 2019 harvest, only the best blocks of Shiraz were harvested to make this limited production wine.
