JEAN-NOEL GAGNARD Cuvee L'Estimee , Chassagne-Montrachet

This cuvée is sourced from one of the best terroirs in the village of Chorey. About 375 cases are produced each year.Ripe fruit on the nose and the palate juicy, on the dark side, with good assertiveness. Black cherries, plums and a note of local undergrowth adding savouriness. Some lovely praline and blue fruit notes emerge with breathing.

Fine-boned and elegant, this Volnay shows the delicacy and lightness of touch for which the commune is renowned. Nicolas Rossignols low-interventionist winemaking philosophy ensures the full potential of the fruit and the commune is consistently expressed in the final wine.

Domaine Lamy-Pillot 1er Cru Boudriotte, Chassagne-Montrachet Domaine Lamy-Pillot is a small family-run winery, established in 1973, which counts as relatively youthful for the region. The wines of Lamy-Pillot are consistent and drinkable in the very best sense. The 1er Cru Boudriotte is a Pinot Noir with cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant on its nose. On the palate, there is more of that berry explosion, with strawberries and dark cherries grounded by earthy aniseed and light spice. A hint of oak and fine tannins.

The wines of Lamy-Pillot are consistent and drinkable in the very best sense. The Champs de Morgeot is a Pinot Noir wine, hailing from vines up to half a century old. An understated power grounds this wine. A subtle earthiness and dark, dried cherry emanates from the glass. Expect luscious, mouth-filling red and black fruit on the palate, with lingering spice. A satisfying red Burgundy that will age gracefully for 510 years.

Domaine Lamy-Pillot Blanches Fleurs, Beaune Domaine Lamy-Pillot is a small family-run winery, established in 1973, which counts as relatively youthful for the region. The wines of Lamy-Pillot are consistent and drinkable in the very best sense. The Blanches-Fleurs is a joyful, fruit-forward Pinot Noir, best enjoyed in its youth. Bright and lively on the nose, with notes of luscious red cherry, raspberry, and a shower of white floral (thus Blanches Fleurs). On the palate, you will taste those vibrant fruits again, with honeyed tones, light spice, and soft tannins.

Pommard produces some of most powerful and sturdy wines from the Côte de Beaune. Nicolas Rossignols Les Vignots shows great typicity, displaying superb depth of dark cherry fruit and firm graphite-like tannins lending the wine superb structure and longevity.
