Vino Intrepido Nero's Fiddle Nero d Avola
Back in 2017 I was intrigued to see if my theory about certain varieties from warm-climate dry-grown vineyards are ideal for light-bodied red wines, even to be enjoyed with a bit of a chill on it! That ended up being one of my most successful wines, so in 2022 I made my fourth wine from Nero d’Avola grown by the Chalmers family at their Merbein vineyard. Fruit was hand-picked then transported in a refrigerated truck and delivered to the winery the next day. It was de-stemmed and sat on skins for only five days which accounted for the majority of fermentation. Once pressed it completed its fermentation in a stainless-steel tank, then was transferred to mature French oak puncheons (500L). After spending six months in barrel the wine was racked and blended, then bottled in November 2022.
Monkey Rock Winery Cabernet Merlot
A favourite blend of Kalgan WA grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Pemberton WA grown Merlot. Both wines were wild yeast fermented on skins and basket pressed. The Cabernet Sauvignon adds an element of spice whilst the Merlot brings flavours of dark berries and plums.
Monkey Rock Winery Happy Herd Cabernet Sauvignon
Expressing flavours of currants and green pepper this Kalgan WA grown Cabernet Sauvignon is medium bodied. Fermented on skins with the natural yeast and basket pressed this is a lighter more fruit centred red wine, as it was not aged in oak.
Shingleback NX Gen Fiano
Shingleback NX GEN wines are for the next generation of wine drinkers. A range of vibrant, smooth and fruit driven wines, showcasing classic varietals and crafted immediate enjoyment. McLaren Vale is the home of Australian Fiano; an alternative variety well suited to the Mediterranean climate of the region. Beautiful acidity provides the structure for flavours of quince, lemon, ginger, honeysuckle and hints of white pepper. The palate is very textural, with generosity and silky persistence.
Oakdene Bernard's Cabernets
Mid-weighted palate, dominated by juicy red and black fruit notes, and a refreshing tobacco leaf edge. Balanced by a firm but fine tannin backbone, fresh acidity, and elegant, classic, bright red fruit characters.

Frasca d'Asti DOC Barbera
Bursting with ripe cherries, plums and a distinct fresh raspberry acidity. A surprisingly long finish and a lovely little lick of tannin. Italian wine purists would cringe if you chilled this one down a bit, but we won't tell - enjoy yourself.
