The palate also displays wonderful fruit and oak tannin, the result of 16 months oak maturation.

The aroma in this full-bodied Syrah fromthe Blackwood Valley bursts forth withgenerous lashings of juicy blackberries andplums, with subtle hints of cracked blackpepper imparting spicy intrigue. Whispers of leather and tobacco imparta sophisticated allure, with a promise ofboldness and beauty. An explosion of ripe, red fruits on thepalate unfold in a symphony of blackberryjam and juicy plums, with layers of suppleleather and rich tobacco with a spicy,earthy undertone and a strong acidbackbone.

This Zinfandel exudes flavours of plum pudding, black cherry and sweet spices on a rich, mouth filling palate. Hand picked, basket pressed and matured in the finest oak it is. Aged in French oak for up to 20 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced aromatics of blackcurrant and mulberry infused with bay leaf greet the nostrils with cedary tobacco, dried herb and spicy black olive notes in tow. Medium bodied, rich red to blackcurrant and mulberry fruits meld into distinct cedary tobacco characters, dusty earth, subtle black olive and spice characters. Refined yet sturdy mouthfeel with graphite like tannins and long elegant aftertaste. Cellar 6-8 years. Alc. 14%
