A supremely structured Shiraz with juicy, brambly fruit accompanied by an integrated peachiness with delicious length.

When you open a Blackstrap, you know you’re heading into seriously dark, rich, red territory. It’s from McLaren Vale, so it shows all that inky, chocolatey, deep black fruit richness the region is known for. A good dose of oak tempers the richness, and fine tannins smooth it out even further, so it’s drinking well now. But it’s definitely an ultra-velvety, mouthcoating, lipstaining, rich and powerful red that you need to approach carefully!

Sourced from perfectly ripe Shiraz grapes from plots across the region, creating the beautifully formed fruit we've come to expect from this varietal. Oozing blackberry and bramble components from nose to tail, soft and silky to the touch. Fire up the BBQ - you've found the perfect wine match.

The nose displays apple, lemon sherbet, pear and citrus notes. The palate is light and crisp with green apple, spearmint and mandarin. It's vibrant and pure in the mouth with a gentle, creamy texture.

Aromas of violets, black berries, cloves. The palate shows mulberries, blueberry, choc-mint biscuits. A touch of malbec brings some brown earth and provides a rustic edge to the tannin. Still very soft and juicy, delicious and youthful drinkingwhich was the aim, even from older vines.
