Slow distilled by hand in our medieval copper pot stills with oriental botanicals and gunpowder tea. 8 pot still botanicals and 4 vapour infused botanicals are combined in the oriental traditions of distilling. Every bottle is hand filled, labelled and sealed by our dedicated team of distillers.

Albrecht von Haller founded the Old Botanical Garden of Göttingen University in 1736 from where the botanicals used for this gin have been sourced. Halleria Lucidia, German ginger and lemon verbena are handpicked and shipped to The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Ireland where the gin is created.

Traditionally favoured by Indigenous societies for their medicinal benefits and protein content, native Green Ants are a unique bush tucker hand harvested in the Northern Territory by the Motlop family of the Larrakia people. The Green Ants display vibrant coriander and kaffir lime leaf flavours, with a citrus and lime burst on the palate further enhanced by Finger Lime. Native Juniper (Boobialla) is evident in the floral, perfumed aromatics, while spicy notes of Pepper Berry balance the citrus flavours. Strawberry Gum, Lemon Myrtle and Anise Myrtle provide green, leafy herbaceous characters which replicate traditional English Juniper resin characters.

The choice of botanicals is a starting point for any distiller and its inclusion of fresh strawberries that gives this gin its unique blush pink hue. Featuring complex fruit flavours thanks to the inclusion of fresh strawberries, which are steeped together with an array of other botanicals. Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin is an aromatic, rich and spicy gin with great power and intensity. First, they take the base botanicals and upped the amount of Tasmanian pepperberry leaf and cinnamon. Then the addition of an exotic West African spice called Grains of Paradise. Although powerful, the spice tends to glow rather than become hot. Beautiful organic blood oranges are one of the last additions to the botanical basket, as well as some ginger. These wonderfully fragrant fresh botanicals help lift the spice to another level.
