In the winery: Once settled, the clear juice was racked and inoculated with a selected white wine yeast and fermented at 12-15ºC for 15 days. In the glass: Very pale lemon green. On the nose: Lemongrass, lemon and white grapefruit.On the palate: Light yet so flavoursome and refined with on-point acidity providing sherbet-like lightness. Long with the acidity to age well.

Concentration doesn't even begin to describe this truly luxurious Barossa Shiraz. When harvested, the fruit displayed intense jammy, plum and prune aromas which were simply crying out for some extra maturation. After which the wine has now begun to show off a wonderful array of warm spicy notes with that trademark mouthfilling soft tannin and gentle acidity. Peter Lehmann was the fifth generation of one of Barossa's pioneering families and is regarded as a legend of Australian wine. The winery is rated as a 5 star winery by James Halliday and the wines consistently demonstrate the diversity of the Barossa Valley region. The 8 Songs Shiraz is deep red in colour with a black core and a bouquet of charcoal chocolate notes with dark plum and mocha, finishing with soft velvety tannins and rich opulent fruit on the palate. Opulent fruit and velvety tannins creates an elegant expression of Barossa Shiraz at its sensuous best.
