No 209 Reserve Gin

No. 209 opens up with a beautiful aromatic nose of predominately citrus and floral notes with a hint of spiciness. First across the palate are the citrus high notes, with lemon predominate followed by a hint of orange. As the spirit warms in the mouth, delicate floral notes are liberated from the bergamot and coriander. Mid-Palate, there is a pepper-like warmth from the emerging cardamom and juniper with a wonderful counterpoint from the mint-like componets of the cardamom. As the gin passes the palate, the cassia and the other warm spice notes become prominent. The cassia in particular will linger in the aftertaste, encouraging another sip.

Big Tree Distillery Claude Navy Strength Gin

Robust and wonderful, Claude Navy Strength gin has a hint of the Australian bush. Our heavy hitter farm crafted gin that is full flavour (Navy Strength) with a delicate touch of Southern Sassafras foraged from the Victorian bush. This one is certainly worth adding to the drinks Trolley. Made with fresh rain water collected off the farm, juniper, orange peel, cardamom, bay leaf, orris root, cassia bark, coriander, star anise, angelica and Australian native Southern Sassafras. Serving Notes: Beautiful just neat on ice or as Gibson Martini. Or we still love it as a G&T and we use only good Australian tonics such as Strange Love No8.

Both aroma and taste are super fresh. Citrus elements of finger lime intertwine with cinnamon myrtle, awhile a heavy dose of juniper and coriander keep the spirit firmly entrenched in the traction of a truly classic gin. On the palate, exotic notes of spice interact with a deep earthiness. Hemps naturally nutty flavour interacts with native botanicals to bestow an almost hazelnut quality upon the gin, brightening up a rich fullness to the mouth feel. Add tonic to your glass and experience the uniquely colourful bouquet of Native Australian wildness.
