This savoury Pinot Noir is the result of an assemblage of twelve individual batches sourced from our Maroondah Highway vineyard. Subtle aromas of rhubarb, violets, earth, chervil, mace, leather, pencil shavings & cocoa nib with a stemmy note contributed by fermention with stalks. The composed elegant palate exhibits strawberry, tamarind & peach stone tartness from ingrained natural acidity, softly spreading fruit weight & sweeping talc-like tannins.

As featured on "Battle of the Vines": When Frank asked Jonny about his site, he said, The only trouble I have is the need to restrain the beast. While prolific in producing rich Pinot, its naturally low-yielding with little bunches of super intense berries that create wine with blue fruits, chocolate and coffee.

The nose displays aromas of raspberry and herbs with an attractive earthiness. The palate shows red berries, pomegranate and some lovely forest floor characters. A fine tannin profile and bright natural acid lift provide great depth and structure to the plate. The beautiful acidity suggests this.

A misty hue greets the drinker like a view over a vineyard in Spring. A deep burgundy speckled with violet highlights. A lifted bouquet of cherry and plum sauce with herbaceous floral undertones. Cedar and dark chocolate are support acts. The palate surges, lifted and broad. Cherry and raspberries dominate, with deep mushroom tones, baked fruits and herb aromatics with texture, providing lift and glimpses to the future. The persistence is remarkable. This wine drinks deep and offers generous persistence on both palate and over time in bottle. Richer than the 2021 and darker. Drink with ones you love and anything that demands great wine.
