Lark Hill sits high a top the Canberra District wine region, some 840m above sea level. This altitude allows their fragrant aromatic whites to truly sing. The Riesling is brilliantly restrained which can be tasted in the overt mineral nature of the wine. Lively citrus blossom with white flowers can also be seen.

Drumborg Vineyard has become one of Australia's premier vineyards for producing Riesling, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Always in very limited supply, the Drumborg Riesling is a delicate white with pronounced floral notes and notes of citrus zest on the nose. The palate follows through with delicate lime flavours and a trademark zippy mineral acid backbone. Wonderfully fresh and vibrant early in its life, the Drumborg Riesling is also famous for ageing exceptionally well and will further develop in the bottle for a further decade or more.

Penfolds began releasing the Bin 51 Riesling in the 1990s as part of the evolving white wine development program. The Eden Valley was chosen as the region for this Riesling due to the high altitude and cool climate that results in wines of intense aromatics and superb textural mouth feel. Flavours of apples, pears and bright citrus are commonplace. The Bin 51 has also shown a great propensity to age in the bottle extremely well.

Almost all LVS wines are cellarworthy. The Willowlake Vineyard is just outside Gladysdale in Victorias Upper Yarra Valley. Planted in 1979 at an elevation 300 metres, the cool-grown Chardonnay here ranks with the regions very best. Add the skills of leading Chardonnay exponent David Bicknell and these hand-picked grapes become wines that express their variety and origin with consummate precision and flair.

The Yarra Valley is one of the heavyweight regions for Australian Chardonnay, with finesse and length of flavour the hallmarks of the regional style. In the glass: Pale lemon green. On the nose: Apple, grapefruit, oatmeal and almond aromas. On the palate: Fine, elegant and poised yet with power and drive and a delicious core of white and yellow fruits. A savoury, almost salty layer adds complexity, velvety texture and racy acidity.

Excellent value Chardonnay from one of the country's best handlers of the variety.

This Chardonnay comes from the north of the Macedon Ranges, cultivated from 25-year-old vines thriving in granite-rich soil. It's fermented using wild yeast, with 30% being new oak, followed by ten months of aging on solids and lees. It presents a vibrant profile, uniting zesty citrus, delicate white flowers, nectarine, and intricate nutty and mealy notes. The palate delivers a refreshing, structured, chalky texture with a subtle creaminess and remarkable intensity.
