This intense, gorgeously scented, rich and voluminous Cabernet blend is typified by mocha, espresso, blackcurrant, truffle aromas, savoury new oak and fine-grained tannins. The Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Terra Rossa First Growth, with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc is made along traditional Bordelais lines with extended maceration and maturation in a combination of tightly-grained new and used French oak for 20 to 24 months.

An elegant more mid-weight Pauillac, Chateau dArmailhac is classically structured claret that is slightly earlier drinking than some of its Pauillac counterparts. The grapes are handpicked, de-stemmed and vinified using traditional methods before undergoing maturation in 30% new oak and 70% second fill barrels.

A flavour cavalcade of matchstick, citrus, white peach and grapefruit alongside a subtle toasty, nutty aspect from the sublime oak regime. Originated from the same plots and made with the same winemaking techniques as the first label, La Parde Haut-Bailly is subject to the same draconian selection controls. Over time, it has developed its own personality, displaying a pleasant silky texture on the palate and achieving a style of elegance and refinement . Although its softness and forward aroma mean it can be drunk sooner than Chateau Haut-Bailly, it also has good aging potential.

Crimson purple with a black intensity the nose is immediate Shiraz, black fruits and spice with gravelly graphite note. The palate is intense showing concentrated ripe blackberry and liquorice spice. The tannins are full and chocolate rich showing this wine has extended cellaring potential with a firm long persistent finish. Cellar for 20+ years.
