Abundantly ripe bouquet of stone fruits, white peach and nectarines mingled with fine buttery oak undertones. Creamy powerful, complex, mouth filling with a persistant dry finish.

Pale straw colour with nettles, limes, guava and tropical fruits combine to produce a complex nose, which is enhanced with some butterscotch lees characters. The palate is vibrant and fresh with a lovely concentration of tropical and subtle tropical flavours. The wine finishes with persistence and a lingering attractive textural flavour.

Bright aromas of passionfruit, citrus, and box hedge. Tropical fruit flavours are framed by a fresh minerality and crisp finish.

From the near perfect 2018 vintage this wine is typical of the style that comes from Margaret River tropical fruit mineral layers, and crisp acidity.

Grape variety - 99% Semillon, 1% Sauvignon Blanc. Colour - Pale straw-green. Aroma - Clean and ripe with lime, lychee, pineapple, candied lemon and snow pea. Palate - A rich and harmonious palate that is soft, silky and just a little sweet. There are fresh flavours oflime, honeydew melon and guava. Each bottle is deliberately and meticulously created: from the delicate balance tasted within each glass, to the small touches of family handwriting and messages on our labels. Our philosophy has always been to give our wines time to develop in the bottle before release, a rarity in today’s market. Enjoying wines when they are ready to drink, rather than straight after bottling, when the wine has had time to develop and balance up in the bottle with no screaming parts. This cane cut is produced from Sauvignon Blanc vines planted in 1987. Hand harvested on the 17th of April at 23 baume. Fruit cold crushed to press and cold settled before a 12 o C ferment in barrel. Aged on light lees for four months before bottling.

All Cullen Wines are grown on a certified Biodynamic, Carbon Neutral and naturally powered estate. Grapes are harvested by hand on fruit and flower days according to the astrological calendar. The wines have no additions of yeast, acid or malolactic culture, and are in this sense natural wines which express the place and land on which they are grown, the vintage and the people.
