The palate displays excellent weight and depth, wonderfully complemented by succulent fruit intensity and fleshy mouthfeel, superbly structured by fine chalky tannins. The Iron Duke is a premium Langhorne Creek Cabernet from Bleasdale the regions oldest winery, founded in 1850. The wine, made in limited quantites, is a blend of the best parcels of Cabernet fruit from the vintage. Rich, medium bodied and showing sublime regional and varietal typicity, The Iron Duke is racked before bottle without filtration. Named not after Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington, but after founder Frank Potts own rifle. The wine honours Franks readiness is organising Langhorne Creek locals to defend against a potential Imperial Russian Invasion a real fear at the time.

Price’s Wines Block 1 Malbec is a velvety smooth wine, rich, fruity, and deserving exclusivity in the bottle. As a variety, Malbec is extremely challenging to grow but well worth the perseverance. This wine is fragrant, lifted by dark fruit notes. The palate is filled with lush berry flavours and balanced with a savoury spiced note. The Price’s Wines Block 1 Malbec is drinking well now but will cellar for at least another decade.
