Fletcher The Minion Nebbiolo

The focus here for this wine by Fletcher is on what Nebbiolo as a variety can do in Australian terroir. The philosophy behind these wines is to de-construct tradition and start afresh. Driven with obsession and going against the grain, Ann from Fletcher had the foresight to plant small acreage to mixed clones of Nebbiolo in 1998, which officially makes this some of the oldest Nebbiolo in Australia. Meticulously manicured, this vineyard, after the green harvest, is lucky if it produces 2 tonnes to the acre, and the fruit it produces is floral, rich and backed by Nebbiolo's superior tannins.

La Esencia Sangria

Sangria is the ultimate summertime drink. With vibrant, aromatic fruit flavours and a refreshing, light weight palate, La Esencia is both delicious and crowd pleasing. This sangria can be served in a number of ways, but is best served with the addition of some fresh fruit like oranges, apples, limes and even pineapple. You can even add some lemonade and ginger ale for a bit of extra lift.

Hungerford Hill Tumbarumba Pinot Meunier

A true rarity – Pinot Meunier, known as a constituent of some Champagnes, adding richness and body – is very rarely vinified on its own anywhere in the world. As winemaker Bryan Currie shows, it can be done, and very well. “Light in colour but it has its kicking boots on. Cranberry, red cherry, meaty spice and wood smoke flavours combine beautifully. It kicks quality goals from start to finish; tannin, acid and texture are all in good form too... 93 points” (Halliday).

Minchinbury Merlot

This Merlot, sourced from premium Australian wine regions, has ripe dark berry fruit flavours with subtle oak and fine tannins.

The Black Pig Reserve McLaren Vale GSM

There’s bundles of flavour in this classy Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvédre. A special blend that offers soft layers of fruit, and rich and velvety charm – The Black Pig delivers again!

Adaptaur Reserve Barossa Valley Shiraz

Small parcels of the best quality fruit from the Barossa were chosen for this Reserve Shiraz – and it shows! It’s big, rich and mouthcoating...a ‘black red’ with some serious heft. Take that as a warning! The wine is named after a type of cattle (Hereford/ Shorthorn cross) bred for the harsh conditions of Australia’s far north, and has been crafted with steak in mind.

Forest Hill Highbury Fields Great Southern Shiraz

Moppity Lock & Key Hilltops Shiraz

This elegant, single vineyard cool climate beauty has 95 Halliday points and won Gold at Melbourne and Hobart. “Texture and structure, the flavours held within dark berry and earthy, yet mouthwatering, tannins ... 95pts” (Halliday).
