Langton's Classification: Excellent

First made in 1959, Penfolds Kalimna Shiraz is an icon in the field of warm-climate Shiraz. Always ripe, robust and generously flavoured. The Bin 28 is named after the Kalimna vineyard that was purchased back in 1945 and from which the original fruit was sourced from. Today, the Bin 28 is a great example of the Penfolds dedication to multi-region, multi-vineyard blending. The Barossa Valley will always remain an integral part of the Bin 28 blend providing rich, vibrant primary fruit flavours.

Penfolds Max's Shiraz

Penfolds Max's Shiraz is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker, Max Schubert, a legend in Penfolds history. His constant pursuit of excellence paved the way for those who followed in his footsteps, growing the brand's status and heritage in the process. Fruit-driven and generous in flavour, this fine red has a contemporary, persistent palate with subtle tannins leading to a soft, oak finish.

Ripe red fruit on the nose with spice and rich berry fruit flavours on the palate.

Kalleske Moppa Shiraz

Another great success story of grape grower turned grower/winemaker. Troy Kalleske is the latest custodian of a family heritage that dates back to 1853 when the Kalleske family first planted vineyards in the Moppa sub-discrict of Greenock, in the north-west of the Barossa Valley. This Shiraz (with a touch of Viognier and Petit Verdot) is 100% biodynamic and has concentrated aromas of blueberry, cloves, violets and dried fig. The silken palate that follows has dark fruit and lifted notes of floral with a sublime length of flavour.

Organic Hill South Australian Preservative Free Shiraz

A deep ruby red the wine displays rich vegetative, earthy characters, with a hint of pepper and spice. The full-bodied palate brims with spicy mulberry fruits and a fine tannin structure with a hint of musk and a fresh, balanced acidity giving a long lingering finish. No preservatives to this wine to produce a young, fresh and vibrant red to be consumed in its youth. Perfect with any steak, even a Tempeh Steak!

Saltram S2 Shiraz

This soft and approachable Shiraz is balanced with lively fruit for immediate drinkability. Fresh red berries and plums, fine silky tannins and a hint of spice from the subtle use of oak round out the palate.

Kilikanoon Baroota Limited Release Reserve Shiraz

Baroota’s been a HUGE favourite for years – and today you can enjoy a very special Reserve edition. Made using fruit primarily from Baroota, an area between the cool waters of Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges, where a southern Mediterranean microclimate makes for distinctive, full-bodied and early ripening Shiraz. It’s richer, more complex than usual, and will age 5 years or more, but is so delicious now, you won’t want to wait.

RedHeads Good Shiraz

20 years ago, a lightbulb moment resulted in the creation of RedHeads by Tony and Tom Laithwaite. It was a no-gimmicks, no-rules cellar where young, talented (and rebellious) winemakers could moonlight and make small-batch wines that really rocked their boat. Growers started bringing in pick-up loads of their best grapes they wanted 'rescuing' from the mega-blends. RedHeads winemakers began to gain a reputation as the ‘Robinhood of grapes’ – saving parcels to make into handcrafted wines. So popular, the cellar outgrew its original home and, for a few years, it moved from shed to shed. Finally it bought its own vineyard and built a state-of-the-art, off-grid, solar-powered eco winery. RedHeads by name, green by nature, with awards galore.
