Character of Islay Whisky Company Aerolite Lyndsay 10 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Aerolite Lyndsay, the first release from The Character of Islay Whisky Company, is a ten-year-old peated single malt from an undisclosed distillery from the famed whisky isle of Islay. Our head of whisky, Dr. Sam Simmons, has created this dram by resting it in a carefully curated selection of bourbon, Spanish oak quarter and special character casks. The flavour imparted from this maturation journey provides an appealing complexity to this already characterful drop. It's a bold whisky perfect for the seasoned Islay whisky drinker or those looking to explore. For easy indulgence, great to enjoy with friends and yarn or as a contemplative-sipper.Tasting NotesNose: Meaty, with fragrant maple sweetness and salted caramel, big chipotle spices and a hint of leather.Taste: Sweet and smoky with refreshing menthol character, intense dark chocolate, sweet BBQ smoke. Finish: Liquorice and anise, lingering charcoal and ash, lifted by citrus and caramel sweetness

Caol Ila Moch Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Nestled in a hidden cove near Port Askaig, Islay, the Caol Ila (pronounced Cull Eela) distillery sent its whisky to market by sea for over a hundred years. Caol Ila is the Gaelic name for the Sound of Islay, which separates the island from Jura in one of the most remote and beautiful parts of Scotland's West Coast. The distillery was founded in 1846 and is situated on the shores of the Sound, a spot originally chosen partly because of the clean water from Loch Nam Ban which still provides its main supply. The nose is creamy and lemony, before a silky-smooth medium-bodied palate packs a peaty punch. The finish is dry, sooty and very more-ish. Caol Ilas trademark smoky-antiseptic character is here. Gaelic for dawn, Caol Ila Moch is the first single malt from the distillery to be selected entirely on the basis of its taste, rather than age, cask wood, strength or finish. This single malt is an excellent introduction to peaty Islay whiskies.

Grant's Triple Wood Scotch Whisky

Aged in three distinct woods for a smoother taste. Many whiskies take their flavour from just one cask, but we mature Grants Triple Wood in three different types of wood: Virgin Oak cask provides spicy robustness, American Oak lends subtle vanilla smoothness and Bourbon refill offers brown sugar sweetness, resulting in a smoother, richer, mellower taste.
