No other variety allows the winemaker so much room to move in terms of flavour modification in the winery. In this wine we have used barrel fermentation in 25% new oak puncheons, juice MLF, wild yeast fermentation, yeast lees stirring and some solids inclusion in the ferment.

FLOWSTONE Moonmilk White Gewurztraminer Sauvignon Blanc Savagnin, Margaret River

This Blanc is a crisp straw colour, offering a romantic glow through it when held up to the sunshine or a dinner-time candle. The blend is made with majority Sauvignon Blanc grapes plus a handful of Chenin Blanc. The result is a classic dry white, with enough sweetness to give your taste buds something to dance around. The fruit comes from our Quindalup vineyard and is simply made in a stainless steel tank for freshness.

The classic Margaret River blend. Pale green in colour, with aromas of succulent Sauvignon Blanc and grassy Semillon. The palate is flint-dry with an initial impact of sweet racy fruit and a fine and lengthy finish.

LEEUWIN ESTATE Prelude Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River

Appearance: Vibrant green gold. Aroma: Punchy guava with white flesh nectarine, and a hint of passionfruit pulp lift from the glass. There is an underlying lime zest note that helps to support these exotic characters. Citrus and subtle creamy elements help to complex the wine. This is a multi-layered, and engaging nose.Palate: Ripe nectarines, guava, some flinty highlights, with a lime zest finish. The palate has wonderful textures, while retaining a juiciness of fruit and lightness. There is great intensity of fruit, and fantastic length of flavour. The wine finished with a chalky mineral acidity, but subtle fruit flavours linger with this cleansing finale. The length of palate is the real key here - this is a Sauvignon Blanc that can be ruminated upon, but also just enjoyed.

This Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect representation of the rhythm of Western Australia with a combination of crisp clean white, sunshine and the whispering of the wind through the vines to create Torch Song. This vibrant wine has citrus and floral notes, with a subtle grassy taste and clean finish. Delicious with a light seafood meal.

From the near perfect 2018 vintage this wine is typical of the style that comes from Margaret River tropical fruit mineral layers, and crisp acidity.

Winemakers Notes: The traditional Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon blends originated from the Graves region of Bordeaux in South-West France. The two grape varieties that make up this traditional white wine blend have found a more than suitable home in the Southern Hemisphere and in the Margaret River region. Margaret River SBS wines often display a powerfully aromatic expression of the style. Our 2021 Flying Fish Cove displays the lifted aromatics combined with a succulent and powerful palate that is so synonymous with these styles. In this vintage, we have combined the punchy and lifted aromatics of Karridale Sauvignon Blanc with the power and weight of Wilyabrup Semillon.

There are fruit characters of lychee, goosebery and lime with freshly cut grass. A light and fruit driven wine with great drinkability. Viticulture - Fruit is sourced from neighbouring properties in the northern Yallingup sub-region of Margaret River. Direct input from Forester’s viticulturist ensures well balanced canopies and crops are grown for the ripe style desired. The 2022 vintage was a mild year for white grapes in Margaret River, allowing plenty of time during January and February to ripen the fruit to our specification. Winemaking - Modern white winemaking techniques are employed in the production of the Lifestyle Sauvignon Blanc, with temperature control considered critical from the moment the fruit reaches the winery. The fruit is destemmed and crushed, then must chilled and pressed off skins in a very short space of time. The clarified juice is then racked to a fermentation tank. A range of specially selected yeasts are employed on different parcels of fruit and the resulting dry tanks of wine are carefully blended to maintain the Forester Style.
