The Isle of Raasay Single Malt is a taste of the ruggedly elegant, exceptionally diverse island, made in small batches from the mineral water drawn from its well on site. A somewhat unusual blend in the world of Scotch whisky, Compass Box's Hedonism is made from a combination of eight to 15 casks of grain whiskies from some of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in Scotland. Glenfarclas 40 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a rich, dark mysterious gold colour with a nose reminiscent of relaxing in an old leather armchair while eating walnuts and chocolate covered raisins. The flavour is sweet initially with orange segments dipped in liquid chocolate. Then a lovely flavour of burnt brown sugar at the back of the mouth The finish is dry oozing with big tannins and more richdark cocoa beans.
