Produced from chardonnay grapes along the Côte des Blancs, including 20 per cent from Grand Cru Cramant, Chouilly and Oger, as well as Damery, Villers-sous-Chatillon, Reuil, and la Chaussee de Damery. Nestled away in the far north of Scotland's Highland region is the distillery of Clynelish. Situated at Brora on the stormy North East coast, this 14 Year Old single malt has been matured in specially selected oak casks and then bottled at the full 46%. Dalwhinnie is the highest of all the distillers in Scotland and place so to take advantage of the cleanest springwater possible. Dalwhinnie has a smokey, floral aroma and a delicate palate of heather and honed malt. A serious Whisky, yet approachable to the beginners.

This is more aromatically complex than the Cents Vignes with its well-layered nose of red and dark berries, violets, plum, earth, spice and discreet game nuances. This also displays a relatively refined mouth feel as the plump and rounded medium-bodied flavors are delicious and a bit more concentrated as well before terminating in a slightly dry finish that cuts the persistence short. I would advise drinking this young for its fruit. 88/2018+

Scheibel Premium Altes Pflümle is based on a fruit brandy of oat plums from the Ortenau, with plum extract refined. The range of premium fruit brandies from Scheibel is distilled in the so-called Auria process that uses real gold plates during the distilling process. This creates finesse distillates.
