More approachable, but still definitely Talisker. Talisker Skye was introduced in early 2015, named after the beautiful island on which the distillery resides. This expression brings with it a more well-rounded and sweet flavour profile packed with fresh citrus, sweet smoke, peppery spice and traditional Talisker maritime notes. It's matured in a combination of refill and toasted American oak casks, with a slightly higher proportion of toasted casks. Speyside whisky distillery with a bold approach to the art of distillation and cask maturation. BenRiach 10-Year-Old is classic Speyside in character. The cask formula focuses on ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. A pleasant character, with green apple, tropical fruit, vanilla and toffee. A medium-long finish with chocolate and light oak.

Sweet aroma, fruity and floral with highland toffee, brambles and a hint of ginger marmalade. The taste is smooth and warming with sweet, malty flavours.

In years long-passed, Distillery workers would help themselves to a dram using a 'Copper Dog'; a pipe hidden inside the leg of their trousers. These Speyside rascals and characters are the inpsiration for this unique blend of eight single malt whiskies, slowly married together in old oak casks. Spey River Sherry Cask Finish has been matured in traditional American oak casks until it has achieved the perfect balance of flavours. Only then, the whisky is transferred into first used sherry casks to allow the secondary maturation which adds to its complex character and refined depth of flavour.

Triple maturation is the secret behind the award-winning taste of Whyte & Mackay.
