Shikkoku is a Japanese word that reflects the jet black colour of onyx, perfect for this enchantingly dark, slow-aged brew marked by an elegant and mellow flavour profile. Dark shadows contrast sharply with the brightness of its fine, tea-coloured head. Aromatic hops surround the nose. COEDO Shikkoku is created with two variations of black malt which are combined with six other malt varieties, making for a black lager that is smooth, light and balanced - never cloying.

It's warm, orange - amber colour is complemented by a tall head which releases notes of Eastern aromas, ginger and citrus fruit. This is the latest addition to the Achouffe Brewery... The aroma of Cherry CHOUFFE gives pride of place to cherries. It also reveals notes of strawberry, almond, spices and sweet Port. Round-bodied, soft and delicate, Cherry CHOUFFE delights the gourmands among us. It has a satisfying finish, with a very slight bitterness.
