Michters is Americas first distilling company, dating back to 1753 when they started out making rye whiskey. They take a 'Cost Be Damned' approach to the production of every barrel, using various methods including air drying their barrels for 36 months, toasting the barrels before charring them, using a low barrel-entry strength, heat cycling to encourage ageing during the frigid winters and using specific filtration types for each whiskey they make.

Maker's Mark 46 Kentucky Bourbon Whisky is one unique Bourbon. Starting with the original Maker's Mark whisky, the barrels are emptied of the golden spirit to make way for extra French Oak staves. The whisky is then returned to the barrel and then aged to taste. High West is Utahs first distillery since 1870 and the worlds only ski-in gastro distillery. Hand-numbered labels adorn hand-blown glass bottles with wooden-topped cork stoppers. Wild Turkey Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is distinguished from Bourbon because it must contain at least 51% rye. Wild Turkey Rye is rich and balanced with a unique toffee and peppery taste that makes it less sweet that Bourbon, but with similar tones of caramel and vanilla, and a warm, smoky flavour.

With a distinctive spicy flavour and long, soft finish, Jim Beam Rye is an interesting change for those who want to broaden their Bourbon horizons.
