Francois Voyer Cognac VS

A young, fruit driven, grape-to-bottle Cognac. 100% Grande Champagne. Francois Voyer is a grower producer: he owns his vineyard and makes his Cognac entirely on his property. Francois Voyer vineyard is located in Grande Champagne, the 1er Cru de Cognac. Present on the finest tables of France, hailed by the specialized press as "among the best of the Grande Champagne", this producer reflects the history of a family, and the beauty of their vineyard. Distilled with the lees, the FV VS ages in new Limousin oak casks with a medium interior toast for 1 year. The ageing process continues in old barrels in a damp cellar. A progressive reduction is made, with distilled water (max 5% of diminution every 3 months). A very fine blend, minimum 30 months old. EYE: golden. NOSE: strong bouquet of vanilla, lime and white flowers. Floral tones are typical of the Grand Champagne cru young Cognacs. PALATE: a gentle start which stays on the pallet for a long time. Fruity, pleasant and persistent. Great for cocktails or can be drunk straight from the freezer. Our cocktail suggestion is a long drink called Brandy Tea. Take some ice, half a slice of orange, half a slice of lemon, 2 teaspoons of honey and 40ml of Voyer VS Cognac. Shake well and then add hot water to make a long drink. JEAN FILLIOUX COGNAC GRANDE CHAMPAGNE

Jean Fillioux, a semi artisan producer of cognacs from the very special Golden Triangle of the Grande Champagne region, itself the very best origin for cognacs, is listed in the 10 top trending brands by Drinks International. It should not be regarded as a magnificent achievement since the rest of the group is mostly the usual suspects, the well known very “commercial “ brands. However, it is proof that small artisan producers are being noticed for their superior quality, by even, the large mass of non-connoisseurs more attuned to the Big Houses of Cognac. To celebrate, Jean Fillioux has reserved for Cerbaco a barrel of their 1992 vintage just bottled as a Special Cerbaco Label. Vintage cognacs are as rare as hen’s teeth, even more so from the best part of Grand Champagne, and 1992, freshly bottled, perfectly proves the superiority and individuality of artisan production. Harvested and distilled in 1992, this Cognac was matured in a French recent loose grain oak cask, in a cool damp cellar. Tasting Notes: Nose: Fresh and floral on the nose with citrus fruit, syrupy apples and refined orchid tones. Palate: Round and complex palate with beeswax, ripe plum, candied orange and chocolate. Finish: Long and lively finish with persistent aromas of baked pastry, light spices, and cherry.

JEAN FILLIOUX SUBTIL & SO COGNAC VSOP GRAND CHAMPAGNE

Subtil & So, the new VSOP Cognac Grande Champagne by Jean Fillioux. With the noble bottling, the house once again proves that the Grande Champagne, originally known for its old cognacs, can also produce excellent younger qualities. The proof: a coveted gold medal from the Spirits Selection by Concours Mondiale 2021 and a wonderfully harmonious profile of fruity freshness and warm spiciness. The 4 to 6-year-old VSOP comes from the picturesque La Pouyade winery, which has been family-owned since 1894 and is completely independent to this day. It is surrounded by 25 hectares of the finest white wine grapes. They thrive in the "Golden Triangle", the heart of Grande Champagne. They are cherished and loved in the fifth generation by Christophe Fillioux and his family, who are one with their vineyard. You can taste that in their extremely aromatic cognacs – and today they are valued around the world. Tasting Notes: Nose: fruity and delicately floral. Palate: Fresh figs and citrus blend with nutmeg, almond paste and orange blossom. Finish: Enjoyable and warming with subtle spice.
