We have combined Australian Wheat spirit with gently soaked Juniper, the freshness of Ruby Red Grapefruit, Lemon Myrtle and Native Australian Finger Limes for a vibrant citrus burst. We were looking for a very approachable Gin that had enough citrus for a refreshing burst, but also with enough subtle botanicals to give complexity and depth. The Manhattan has stayed true to its origins, mixing American Rye Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, and traditional Angostura Bitters. During Prohibition (19201933) Canadian whisky was primarily used because it was more readily available. Just like its namesake, and the people who call it home, it has survived wars and prohibition, recessions and depressions. Pepper famed bourbon distiller, who then introduced it to New York high society during his frequent visits to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel bar in New York. They clearly embraced it, given how the infamous Mad Men had such a taste for it 80 years later in the 1960s Manhattan advertising scene. The Old Fashioned has had a makeover or two over its time. But this smooth, bitter, sweet simplicity of Bulleit Straight Bourbon Whiskey, traditional Angostura Bitters, and sugar cane syrup is a tonic that Don Draper himself would approve of.Serving Suggestions:Serve Dr Onyx Old Fashioned gently swirled in a short glass over ice, with a twist of orange zest.
