The Westland Colere 1st Edition American Single Malt Whiskey marks a monumental step forward for not just Westland but the whiskey industry as a whole. Colere (latin for cultivate) is the first release in what will be an ongoing series utilising unique forgotten varieties of barley from the pacific northwest with flavour first as a goal. Colere Edition 1 is made with the varietal that began it all, Alba (a six-row winter barley) and intentionally matured in only used casks to relegate the oak influence to a supporting role and focus the attention on the grain itself. The maturation was broken down to 2nd Fill ISC Cooper’s Reserve (62%), 1st Fill Ex-Bourbon (38%) Released in 2020, only 2,893 Bottles produced.

This glimpse into the year 2220 will bring us into a futuristic space where well known cityscapes and landmarks appear alongside incredible feats of geo-engineering, A.I empowerment and physics defying architecture. On pack NFC technology will enable consumers to experience these futuristic vistas in delightful and unexpected ways. Sydney’s unique design was created in collaboration with London-based digital artist and creative powerhouse Luke Halls. Luke Halls’ illustration of 23rd century Sydney embodies the theme of geo-engineered cities, envisioning the city as an explosion of tropical and exotic plant cultivation that has created stunning floating garden islands in the harbour – gigantic exotic plants and trees provide both an unmissable tourist attraction and act as the lungs of the city, keeping its air clean and pure. Its skyline of familiar and new architecture is a green oasis with living walls and rooftop gardens. A truly clean city, all of Sydney’s power comes from a combination of hydro and solar energy capture. As ever, the harbour and surrounding waters are filled with water taxis and hyper light sailing boats which dart through the waves. 1

Since the 1990's, the Michter's team has been doing pioneering work to re-establish the high quality American Rye whiskey category. While the Michter's team distills according to tried and true Kentucky practices, it continually experiments as it pursues Michter's goal of making the greatest American whiskeys. Following years of research on different barrel finishes for rye whiskey, comes this release of Michter's US 1 Toasted Barrel Rye. To make it we take the US 1 Kentucky Straight Rye at barrel strength and then age it for an additional period in a second custom barrel. This second barrel is assembled from 24 month air-dried wood and then toasted to their specifications. The result is a unique rye whiskey, the strength of the barrel in this 2023 release is 110.4 proof. This Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey has been aged in two barrels. First Barrel: Fire-charred, new American white oak barrels and Second Barrel: Toasted barrel made from 24 month air- dried wood. It was barrelled at 103 proof and after the maturation periods was bottles at 110.4 Proof. Each barrel is bottled at its particular alcohol level at the time of bottling. A nose brimming with toffee, honey, black walnut and a hint of campfire gives way to a decadent taste experience featuring dark chocolate, salted caramel, cherry and mint with pronounced spice balanced by rounded oak on the finish.

This single malt whisky was matured in a 100 litre French Oak, ex-Sherry cask. It is dark in colour, rich & bold on the palate & offers hints of spice, nuts, dark chocolate & dried fruits. It is just one of a series of handcrafted whiskies from the Overeem Distillery.

The big brother of the awarded and acclaimed Shinobu whisky ranges, the master blended distiller Mr Ken Usama has completed a beautiful range of well made, balanced and delicious whiskies.Tasting Notes:Deep wood aroma, maltose, nectar, blueberry, Mizunara oak, milk coffee; oily, ripe fruit, lemon peel, leather, cinnamon, ginger; Finished with a hint of sweet malt with aromas of wooden barrels and a touch of fruity flavour. The sweet aftertaste is outstanding! The barrel age brings out different levels of spice and tertiary characteristics. The nose is abundant with a deep floral woody scent and elegant oak.

Deep wood aroma, maltose, nectar, blueberry, Mizunara oak, milk coffee; Oily, ripe fruit, lemon peel, leather, cinnamon, ginger. Finished with a hint of sweet malt with aromas of wooden barrels and a touch of fruity flavor. This is richer in taste than the 10-year-old whisky. The sweet aftertaste is outstanding; Mizunara Barrel brings out different levels of spice flavors. Deep floral woody scent is also full of vitality.
