Corsiero Nero

Nero di Troia is named after the city of Troia in northern Puglia, which Greek hero Diomedes is said to have founded after helping to defeat the city of Troy with the famed Trojan Horse. There, outside the city walls, he planted vine cuttings, which flourished and were named Nero after their dark skin grapes and the deep coloured wine they produced. Rich, warming, full-bodied Corsiero is rich and velvety with intense black fruit and spice flavours … just perfect served with full-flavoured pasta and rich meat dishes.

Sentiero dei Pini Pinot Grigio

Pinot Grigio is one of the most popular whites in the western world, loved for its refreshing, delicate flavours. Inland from Venice, the high altitude Adige Valley is home to some of the best quality examples in Italy, if not the world. This wine was made by local expert Giuseppe Secchi. He named it after a famous local vineyard - on a cone shaped hill that was once home to a Roman temple, approached by a spiralling path lined with pine trees. Cool climate fresh and truly thirst quenching, this wine displays crisp, pure, lemon and grapefruit flavours, a touch of ripe, white stone fruit and a sophisticated, minerally edge. It's a 'drink anytime' wine but perhaps best enjoyed as an aperitivo, with seafood, grilled fish or summer salads.

Valdo Prosecco Marca Oro

With warm months ahead of us and the popularity of Prosecco booming, look no further for your next selection of bubbly freshness! It won't break the bank and stylistically offers outstanding drinkability, served with or without food. The Prosecco grape, otherwise known as 'Glera' hails from Italy's cool north eastern provinces of Vento and Fruili Venezia Giulia. Brimming with freshness and aromatic in style, this has characters driven by a spectrum of citrus, apple and pear.

Rebuli Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG

This wine is bright straw coloured, with lively bubbles, and a soft, caressing flavour. It is an excellent aperitif, and is also suitable for vegetable soups and shellfish dishes, pasta with delicate meat sauces, fresh cheese and white meat.

Simply bursting with flavours of ripe apple skins, this classic example is refreshing in the extreme. Light and fluffy on the palate with a persistence of flavour that is unrivalled. Superb.

Santa Margherita Prosecco Di Valdobbiadene

Santa Margherita Prosecco di Valdobbiandene has a very fine, persistent bead and scents of apples and pears that act as a prelude to the flavors of ripe stone fruit with a bit of melon and orange. Fresh and lively with a long, dry, yeasty finish. Bargain.
