Located in the Saintonge land (French area of the Charentes), the Merlet family selected it’s strawberries with contracted producers to create this liqueur. Merlet Crème de Fraise des Bois combines two complementary varieties, for their richness and complexity: Wild Strawberry and Mara. It is crafted through an artisanal method of fruits infused in neutral spirit, in order to genuinely deliver their aromas.

Since 2015, Merlet Crème de Cassis de Saintonge holds the Geographical Indication status, in recognition of a unique 30-years expertise in growing blackcurrants and turning them into liqueur.

It's a sublimely opulent Cognac with intense rancio notes (smoky/nutty characters) that as Albert Tesseron says, "you never find in Cognacs less than two generations old". More viscous and dense in the mouth than the Légende, it's still remarkably sophisticated and (indescribably) complex, with prodigious length on the finish. Each sip fills the mouth with perfume. Sheer indulgence.
