El Payador is a contemporary and fruit driven Argentinian Malbec created in partnership with third generation Mendoza winemaker Jorge Daniel Falasco. COSSE MAISON NEUVE Le Combal, Cahors Rouge 100% Malbec. Pure, pristine fruit produced a clean, detailed wine that has all the drinkability of Malbec. The fruit for this wine was sourced from 3 ha 30+ year old vines planted on terraces of clay, gravel and siliceous soil. The vineyards are farmed organically, yielding approximately 45 hl/ha. The juice is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The ferment is pumped over and this occurs for 15 days to around 3 weeks. The wine then spends 12 months in barrels before being bottled without filtering.

The Knappstein Malbec showcases vibrant varietal aromas of dark plum and raspberry with a dose of fresh cherry. Generous, yet delicate tannins provide the wine with body, enhanced with subtle oak. Fruit is complimented with sweet cinnamon and spice characters, framing the wine for a long finish.

Price’s Wines Block 1 Malbec is a velvety smooth wine, rich, fruity, and deserving exclusivity in the bottle. As a variety, Malbec is extremely challenging to grow but well worth the perseverance. This wine is fragrant, lifted by dark fruit notes. The palate is filled with lush berry flavours and balanced with a savoury spiced note. The Price’s Wines Block 1 Malbec is drinking well now but will cellar for at least another decade.
