Reschke R Series Limestone Coast Rose
Angaston Road Growers Darren Heidenreich Barossa Valley Rosé
The Angaston Road Growers range is all about honouring the often unsung heroes of the wine world, the growers. It is their intimate knowledge of the local terroir, the changes of season, and the varietals they tend to that ensure the special parcels of fruit that make it to the winery are in tip-top form to make quality wines like this vibrantly pink Rosé. The wine recognises Darren Heidenreich of Possum Creek Vineyards in Angaston, Barossa Valley. And when it came to finding the best selection of Shiraz grapes for this new Rosé, the Angaston Road winemakers knew instantly to reach out to Darren. The single vineyard fruit is crushed and soaked on skins for two hours to extract a lovely pink colour. It's lightly pressed, cold settled and fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain fresh aromas and flavours throughout. Enjoy a fruity nose of strawberry and orange, while flavours of mixed berries, lightly spiced red cherry and zingy citrus burst in your mouth. Grown, crafted and bottled in the Barossa using local glass, capsules and 100% recycled paper labels. Vegan friendly.
Chateau Mira Luna Rose
The 100ha Mira Luna property (including its 7ha vineyard) is part of the much larger Miraval estate and was retained by its American owner, Tom Bove, when he sold to Brad Pitt in 2008. Mira Luna means, roughly, moon-watch. The sites elevation, limestone soils and undulating landscape make its vineyard one of the best in the superior Coteaux Varois en Provence appellation. Since 1993 Bove has renovated and replanted, adopted organic practices and kept yields low all in the name of improving quality. A blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre (Shiraz and Mataro to us), Mira Luna is a dry rosé wine of substance, with more texture and richness than the norm but no less purity and freshness.
Port Phillip Estate Salasso Rosé
Port Phillip Estate Salasso Rosé is another example of it not mattering what what Sandro Mosele turns his hand to, it is always meticulous and carefully made producing a wine of brilliance. Bright and sparkling in the glass, the seriousness of the winemaking is forgotten when the lift berry flavours hit the palate.
Half Full Wine Co Sunsets Natural Rose
An all natural wine sure to please the crowd. Organically grown grapes have lent their colour and texture to this down-to-earth drop that you can enjoy anywhere. Furry and fresh tropical fruit with a zesty citrusy finish to keep you coming back for another glass. 'There was a time when staid old wine critics would have deemed this a wine only fit for hippies (do they still exist?). Natural, organic, vegan, you name it. Today, it nails the brief which so many winelovers want to see so enjoy. Sunset is right – it is precisely the colour of a glorious Island sunset, if ever I saw one. Florals and spices here, with strawberries and a hint of citrus emerging on the finish. Fresh it certainly is. This might be simple but it is designed for easy drinking thanks to medium length and a touch of weight. Attractive drinking – don’t be fooled that this is not worth a serious look.' - 90 pts, Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)
Berton Metal Label Rose
Made from local Shiraz vineyards, this light, dry and refreshing Rosé is perfect for summer. The Berton Metal Label Rose is a pale salmon with bronze hues in colour. It has an aromatic bouquet with a rose petal and strawberry cream confectionary notes. A lovely delicate palate with cranberry and pomegranate fruit leading the way and slightly green strawberry notes on a crisp dry finish.
Chapman Grove Estate Rose
Bright & vibrantly rich in colour with a lovely perfume and hints of wild raspberries dusted with icing sugar and cloves on the nose. This is a drier style of Rose with a full and vibrant palate showcasing powerful summer fruit flavours with enough acidity to enable it to be matched with a variety of dishes.
