Aged in bourbon, sherry and American White Oak new casks, "Cosmo" blended malt whisky is named after a mountain in the Japan Central Alps close to the Mars Whisky Distillery.

Roku is Japanese for "Six" which refers to the six Japanese botanicals used. Cherry blossoms, cherry leaves, green tea (sencha), refined green tea (gyokuro), sansh pepper, and yuzu are utilized along with eight other traditional gin botanicals. Smooth and oily, the gin has a rich character as it coats the tongue. Theres a fleeting glimpse of cherry blossom and traditional notes before the tea and tannic notes take over.

Founded in 1899, the Suntory brand started as a small wine store in Osaka, but grew rapidly over the years, encompassing a wide range of products. Their construction of the Yamazaki Distillery in 1923 and the release of Suntory Shirofuda Whisky in 1929 brought Japanese Whisky into the public eye and the brand soon became synonymous with outstanding craftsmanship and expertise. Suntory Yamazaki Pure Malt is fresh, fruit-forward single malt blended with the pure waters of the Southern Japanese Alps. The nose opens with light herbal aromas which merge with notes of green apple, pear and almond, backed by soft smoke. The palate is soft and delicate with complex notes of lime, plum, sweet pear, smoke and chamomile, accented by a sweet hint of butter cookie. From the Hakushu distillery in the foothills of Mount Kaikomagatake comes their Distillers Reserve single malt whisky. A no-age statement expression that captures the smoky, herbaceous characteristics of their whiskies. Both lightly-peated and heavily peated malts were used for this complex and deeply enjoyable whisky. A hint of smoke and a lovely long finish.
