Shirl the Pearl 2020 Harvest, a seasonal edition Cumquat Gin with fresh uplifting notes, zesty characteristics, and a long finish. Expect refreshing waves of orange blossom. Eddie’s grandmother Shirley aka ‘Shirl the Pearl’ was a pocket rocket. Adventurer, skier, and one of Australia’s first female pilots, Shirl also made a mean bootleg Cumquat Gin. Inspired by Shirl, we steep locally grown Cumquats in our Brookie’s Dry Gin for several months and balance the spirit to create springtime in a glass! This is her recipe and an ode to Shirl the Pearl.

Pineapple, passionfruit, strawberry, mango, vanilla and coconut combine to make a surprising, delightful and evocative gin. Pot Distilled in the hinterland rainforest, Sunshine & Sons Pineapple Parfait Gin has all of the aromas of the 1970's Big Pineapple Parfait Desert; Pineapple, strawberry, passionfruit and coconut with a smooth crème Brule feel of vanilla tapered lift. On the palate it is very pretty, aromatic and bursting with tropical fruits. Soft, perfumed, very textured, silky, jelly like structure, powerful Sunshine Coast flavours with floating fusions of Pineapple and passionfruit. We macerate and boil the traditional botanicals while using the vapour-infused method for the Australian botanicals.
