Shirl the Pearl 2020 Harvest, a seasonal edition Cumquat Gin with fresh uplifting notes, zesty characteristics, and a long finish. Expect refreshing waves of orange blossom. Eddie’s grandmother Shirley aka ‘Shirl the Pearl’ was a pocket rocket. Adventurer, skier, and one of Australia’s first female pilots, Shirl also made a mean bootleg Cumquat Gin. Inspired by Shirl, we steep locally grown Cumquats in our Brookie’s Dry Gin for several months and balance the spirit to create springtime in a glass! This is her recipe and an ode to Shirl the Pearl.

Distilled using carefully selected native and local botanicals alongside organic Macedonian juniper berries, this easy sipping gin offers clean citrus notes with spicy finish. Native pepper berries and liquorice root give this gin earthy undertones, balanced with fresh notes of native ginger and lemongrass. Organic oranges provide citrus backbone, and local macadamias bring smoothness to the texture, making this gin all the more inviting.

A premium seasonal gin made in the style of English sloe gin, supplanting handpicked local Mulberries in the place of the traditional sloes. Local mulberries are steeped in the gin, then pressed by hand; final steps include light filtering before bottling. Naturally sweet, rich and smooth mulberry flavours distinguish this elegant gin. Served with fresh lemon juice, soda/bitter lemon and garnished with fresh berries, mint or basil.

Our Koala Gin was inspired by walks through the Australian bush. The fresh, crisp scent of eucalyptus evokes memories of exploring and marvelling amongst nature. As koalas would agree, eucalyptus makes for a refreshing and clean drink. And our Koala Gin is no exception. Traditional juniper berries are balanced with the tasting notes of the native lemon myrtle, marshmallow leaf, lime, cinnamon, and vanilla. Handcrafted in small batches at our distillery, Koala Gin perfectly complements a Sunday Sesh during a hot Aussie summer.

A dry-styled gin based on an original London dry gin recipe but with the original ingredients substituted or our own Australian native botanicals. The structured blend allows it to stand out from any other gin on the market with its unique herbaceous, floral taste.

Tasting note: Distilled in Eltham, Victoria. The herbal, potpourri-like bouquet mixes chamomile, juniper, lemon oregano and hints of bitter peel. While our whiskies aim to transport you to the backwoods of Yackandandah, our gin invites you to take a walk in the Victorian High Country.To create this gin we apply two distillation methods. We macerate and boil the traditional botanicals while using the vapour-infused method for the Australian botanicals. This helps to balance a traditional gin base with the intensity of local botanical flavours. This unique Australian gin was recently recognised on the world stage, receiving a silver medal at the prestigious London Spirits Competition 2021.
