This Deep Wood wine displays ripe berries and cassis aromas with distinctive cedary oak and crush mint leave. On the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend, unfolds in the complex layers of red fruit with black olive nuances further enhanced by subtle savoury oak. The Tate name is synonymous with Margaret River after John Tate helped create arguable the regions most well-known winery, Evans & Tate. Today, Franklin Tate has brought the Tate name back to life with new, exciting terroir driven wines. Franklin painstakingly selected the very best vineyard sites, those that held unique micro-sites within them to enable him to achieve his goal of producing some of the regions best wines. This Shiraz was picked at optimum ripeness and fermented with 10% whole bunch. French barriques were used in the fermentation process to give a softness to the palate, as was a small percentage of Viognier. The result is a great Margaret River Shiraz with grounded savoury notes along with ripeness and spicy lift.

This 2014 Rosabrook Cabernet Merlot is one of the Margaret River's signature wine styles. Great licks of black fruit from the Cabernet Sauvignon interlaced with the smooth plum characters on Merlot. It is a beautifully made wine with great balance and a lengthy finish. It will be great with meat dishes or even a cheese platter. Owned by Calneggia Family Vineyards, one of Margaret River's pioneering grape growers with winemaker legend Brian Fletcher pulling the winemaking levers.

With new winemaker Ollie Crawford on board, the newly labelled Devil's Lair Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% fermented in French Oak, 40% of which is new. The wine begins with concentrated cassis and redcurrant on the nose with hints of cedar and spice to give this classic red an imposing presence which continues on the palate with dense brooding flavours and French oak complexity.

Certified biodynamic, the Cullen Vanya is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon complemented by 3% Petit Verdot. Aged in new French oak of which 50% was new for a period of 19 months. Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Intense but beautifully refined the nose offers up aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry laced with cedar and tobacco characters followed by hints of cigar box, faint bay leaf and spice. Medium weight the palate is the perfect marriage of richness, elegance and power delivering sublime flavours of blackcurrant, ripe mulberry and dark cherries seamlessly integrated with cedar, tobacco and spice characters. Exquisite finesse with exceptionally fine grained, polished tannins. Very long after-taste of blackcurrant, ripe mulberry, cedar faint tobacco, cigar box and spice that seems to sail on forever.

Dense aromas of plum pudding, dried apricots and eastern spice introduce a voluptuous palate, boasting silky tannin, delicate hints of fresh summer berries and earthier tones of toasted oak and freshly cracked allspice. A unique expression of the Margaret River, Deep Woods Hillside Cabernet Merlot exhibits aromas of cassis and dried herbs. The palate is a rich mixture of red and black berries and is medium bodied with elegant silky tannins. Great length with a touch of sweet spice and dark chocolate notes.
